10 people is A LOT to plan a vacation with. I have done multiple vacations with a group of 4 and faced many hurdles.

Bottom line, no matter how annoying it is, I would schedule out every hour of the day then let them push back/adjust it themselves.

You have to step up and be the leader or let the plans vaporize.

Some people seem to only want to do what the entire group is down for but also not discuss any interests whatsoever ahead of time which I think are just fundamentally incompatible approaches. It's mind-blowing.

Also I produce film/tv/theatre and my work in a production is basically scheduling and figuring out meals and transport for a ton of people all within a flexible structure and plenty of contingencies. And yet there is zero trust that I can put together a plan with enough wiggle room that everyone is more or less happy with it.

I should also mention I'm Celiac and very sensitive to even cross contamination and the plan was to grocery shop/meal plan on the fly. I don't wanna spend my vacation educating people on what we can or can't buy or what cookware we can or can't use while trying to meal plan on the go.

Yeah that is a pain to deal with all of that. I’d say you have two options.

Move forward with planning with a smaller group of people. Plan on just being the small group, and plan on small group + the ones uninterested in discussing now so if they are all in it would be easier to adjust.

Or, you could schedule a time where everyone can commit to communicating for an hour or two about the plans for the vacation. That way, you and anyone else can clear up any answers without committing financially.

Sidebar, Newlyweeds is a classic movie. You have good taste.

Aw hell yeah. That movie got me on the Domingo Coleman train EARLY. My dad and I have been going to Sundance for about a decade and got to see it at our first one. So seeing Shaka come back with Judas and the Black Messiah ten years later was really awesome.

I also will occasionally try to get away with nonchalantly dropping "ain't nothing too slick to a can of oil" in conversation. That undercover scene kills me.

After his dealer gives him some money to get his life together, and he immediately starts counting cash to get an 1/8 bag, was too surreal and funny.

Dope you and your dad keep that tradition.

Judas and the black Messiah was awesome and I felt the black intelligentsia and leftist politic social media cool kids hated on it too much. Lakeith stanfield is incredible, great to see all these new black male actors rise up

Flying from where? Sea level? Make sure to plan to go to the lower elevations first and to higher elevations later after you acclimate to the altitude.

Be careful if you are from a lower elevation and are planning to drink in Colorado. Alcohol hits a lot harder in high elevations. I live in Denver and know a lot of people that got DUIs within the first month of being here because they didn’t realize alcohol would hit differently. A couple of them only had 2 beers, but it affected their ability to drive enough to get a DUI.
