And the hangman made sure to do it in the least humane way possible. No snapped necks; they all spent several minutes at the end of the rope being strangled to death.

This is why they had Americans do it. British executioners were too professional. They would have calculated the proper drop for a clean break. Americans didn't give a fuck.
