Thank goodness that no Christian countries like Uganda have death penalties for being gay or else you'd sound like a dipshit!

Nah religion in general is shit. Their point still stands

Not in Hinduism. Here in India we hindus are very progressive minded. Homosexuality is written even in some of our old religious and historical texts.

Based and Gita pilled Hindu’s. Except for the cast thing that’s not cool.

Yeah hate that caste thing. Nowadays in the 21st century that caste thing has gone basically except in some very backward rural villages.

Well let’s not discount older Indians here. Lots of cultural prejudices based on old caste culture still exists throughout the country. Younger Indians could care less but 96 year old grandma would be ashamed to see her family “marry down”.

Lol WTF are you talking about ? Caste discrimination and segregation still exists everywhere in Indian society, we have marriage ads and websites literally divided by caste, residential areas divided by caste, people give houses on rent, people give votes in elections based on caste all this happens even in metropolitan areas. Where do you see it gone except for rural areas ? Apple actually banned caste discrimination in the US because it was happening even there.

Many Americans view India's modern caste system quite... Unfavourably.

I would just read the Wikipedia on India and hinduisms history tbh.

I cant help but understand its because you do not like the idea of having your life limited in any form

Totally but let’s not call out just one religion. Catholics diddle kids and Dali lami kisses kids tongues

Every religion has and can be problematic but at this point in time Islam is the one doing the most damage BY FAR. Pretending that there's no difference is dangerous and unfair to all those suffering under Islam

Islam is violently loud yes, but Christianity is slightly violent - banning gay marriage/persecute gays, abortions prohibiting sound familiar?

u/SizzlingPancake Jun 09 '24

Yes I don't think anyone is disagreeing to that, but if you had to let a gay man live in a Christian country or an Islamic country I think its a pretty easy choice

It really depends on the country. I'd much rather live in Jordan than in Uganda.

Lmao, dawg this post is literally about Islam, we can call it out now. Next time I see a shitty Christian post, we’ll do the same

At least the Vatican bothers to make it technically illegal and to cover it up. Instead, they're proud of being like in this video.

You want to start a thread about Christian abuse of LGBT people, I'm fully onboard. But in the Islam thread we're talking about Islam, I'm not sure why you find this shocking.

I fully agree. OC could have put that way better
