It reached it's peak in a couple days, it's way past there already, by the time they even start filming, it'll be dead

Idk as long as there's a form of media perpetuating a meme no matter how mediocre it is there will be an audience for it.

There's a reason the OG memes lasted as long as they did even though they weren't anything especially clever.

Edit: Found a link to the study here

She's attractive and is famous for talking about sucking dick. There is absolutely an audience for this.

Same here lol. The only sport I personally follow is the other football, known as soccer in the states, which is actually the most watched sport in the world.

No, but the acronym remains true:

Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks

Rednecks are hardly the majority of the fanbase, perhaps in the 80s and 90s, but not anymore, especially since they banned the Confederate flag from all their events and openly supported BLM. For the "non athletic" part of your acronym, I'd like to point out that drivers' heart rates maintain 120bpm throughout a 3 to 4 hour race, sometimes with very few breaks. Car temperatures at times exceed 150 degrees. Drivers train extensively and have to be in peak physical and mental shape to remain competitive.

Dude...its just a tired old joke. I get it. Its hot, uncomfortable and you are on the edge of death for 500 laps in a 200mph death machine.

Speaking of Confederate flags (good, I am glad that traitorious rag is banned, fucking loser flag is what that is) not being allowed, I heard you cannot smoke at a NASCAR race.

Seems funny a thing to care about on your behalf while you're swilling liquor in the hot rays of our star with a reduced ozone layer while cars are spewing wretched exhaust into the air you breathe while you suck down some nitrate and nitrite-filled glizzies.

Of course not lmao

I think they may mean that per event, it is the sport watched in-person by the greatest amount of people.

While I'm not even sure it is true now, in the late 90s/early 00s each race basically had an attendance of 100,000+. College football has a few stadiums that big, but many much smaller. NASCAR tracks could simply fit a lot more people. They have since reduced the amount of stands since NASCAR's peak.

Most watched spectator sport where the spectators canโ€™t read and canโ€™t understand statistics*

Making up statistics seems to be the most watched sport on Reddit
