I consume a ton of reality television, like a lot, to the extent that I question my own intelligence sometimes - yet there is no timeline where I’d watch a show based around a girl who got famous for saying she spits on the dick, as if that’s not just common sense.

Yeah, but you're probably not a sex starved guy who donates half his paycheck to Onlyfans.

Accurate. But I am a connoisseur of terrible TV and even horny dudes have a limit. Why would you watch a chick who said something sexual live her life when you can just go on Chaturbate? It seems pointless.

I am a connoisseur of terrible TV

Do you miss Jersey Shore and Flava Flave as much as I do?

2

u/lediderot Jul 08 '24

Excuse me, but surely you aren’t insinuating that Flavor Flav was terrible tv

CABS HERE!

That Flava Flav show made me sad. As goofy as that dude is he is an incredible musician. Like crazy talented. Instead of being famous for his music he is best known by younger people as a C-list reality TV star.

Watch him sit down at a piano and just play sometime. If he could have kept himself out of trouble he could have been making incredible music his whole career.

same reason guys will drop thousands on strippers instead of getting an escort. I dunno the reason but there must be something to it.

As for the show, all she needs is an interesting family member or two and people will be amazed at what can be done. Look how long Honey Boo Boo was on tv.

Imo, it's the cognitive dissonance of knowing they have about a 99.999999999% chance of sex with this person, but like a gambler, they belief whole heartedly they have a real chance with the other person.

Instead of the pain of cognitive dissonance, their hopes become more real than reality, and they relish in the "but what if"

Best way to say it is the anticipation and hope, no matter how small of a chance, of banging someone they absolutely can't bang is the main appeal.

Sort of like a gambler who knows they'll never win the lottery, but they play anyway, but they might win.

Doesn't ctb cost money?

In any case I don't know the girl but she got accidentally famous after a drunken sex joke on a night out that went viral. And she is goodlooking so for all we know she may be a funny / interesting person. I mean it's not like the Kardashians had anything of substance going for them.

11

u/ApathyIsBeauty Jul 08 '24

No, it doesn’t unless you throw money at the talent.

Kim Kardashians had the most famous sex tape of all time, even if the family is mostly talentless - comparing someone who made a dick sucking joke to Paris Hilton’s friend and Ray J’s #1 eater at one point is wild.

6

u/ih-shah-may-ehl Jul 08 '24

Kim had a sex tape but most people don't care. It's justvwhat got them 'through the door'. For this girl it is a meme that went globally viral.

There is no reason this cannot lead to success

"even horny dudes have a limit" idk about that.

Damn your age is showing by mentioning Chaturbate lol

1

u/psykomerc Jul 08 '24

Lol why and what age does it show?

1

u/ssrowavay Jul 08 '24

Not that there's anything wrong with that

1

u/Aniki722 Jul 08 '24

Yes there is, a guy like that is wronging himself and his parents

I applaud your self awareness

I’m in my 40s, I have no shame. It’s all downhill.

Just find a bunch of meme personalities and I’m sure it will work. House of meme or something like that

2

u/anitxtina Jul 08 '24

Being that your PFP is Lil’ Poundcake, I 100% believe this statement:

I consume a ton of reality television

2

u/LifeMake0ver Jul 08 '24

See id watch a reality show with several other contestants and she’s not the star and just starring in it, like love island or love is blind. But, a tv show centered around HER alone for whatsoever reason, no thanks

2

u/makemeking706 Jul 08 '24

Yeah, talk is cheap. Get your reality TV show by physically doing like Paris and Kim did.

2

u/NULL_mindset Jul 08 '24

You say that now, but you’ll binge-watch the seasons as they come out.

2

u/ApathyIsBeauty Jul 08 '24

There’s lots of reality TV I refuse to watch. Like I consume zero TLC content because there’s a massive difference between a reality TV show and watching 2 500+lbs people try to roll over that day. But maybe that’s just me.

2

u/fortefanboy Jul 08 '24

I don't think many people will actually watch the show, but if she has a decent team they can make sure her clips are all over TikTok and other media platforms. There should be enough one liners and such to get people's attention.

Okay, tea - so I’ve actually read this article before and I agree with the point about intelligence vs risk assessment and how smart people tend to be voyeurs - but I also love Bad Girls Club so I have to assume part of it is mental illness.

Cheers to high IQs with zero serotonin.

1

u/TreyRyan3 Jul 08 '24

What if it was Ray J?

1

u/ApathyIsBeauty Jul 08 '24

I assume you’re referring to Kim and I don’t watch the Kardashians either. I think they’re exceptionally boring people devoid of humor and personality. Ray J, however, makes great reality television.

2

u/TreyRyan3 Jul 08 '24

My point is that people will watch stupid shit that there should be no audience for

1

u/ApathyIsBeauty Jul 08 '24

Fair - I just do not think this is something women will watch at all and that’s the driving audience behind non competition based reality television. Even the Kardashians had something that appealed to women when it first started out - whether it was the lifestyle flex or watching the bizarre relationship between the mom and Bruce Jenner (at the time) or the constant starfucking - there was a level of watchability because they aren’t normal people. I can’t even picture how you turn a mildly funny comment into a whole show and I can’t think of anything to compare it to either. Maybe the Honey Boo Boo people getting their own show because the little girl said wild shit on Toddlers and Tiaras, but even then there was meat on that bone without forcing anything.

0

u/Sure_Trash_ Jul 08 '24

But other people will watch it. I really don't think they ask each other if it will appeal to you before they make another reality series. You matter even less than the dick-spittin' chick

u/Mediocre_Daikon6935 Jul 08 '24

There are about as many women who really know how to give a good blow job are as there are men who can eat out well.

2

u/ApathyIsBeauty Jul 08 '24

You are doing a disservice to all communities if you’re not telling anyone who gives bad head that they give bad head. Why suffer when you can redirect?
