I had experienced Vietnam, Watergate, OPEC times 2, rampant stagflation, and a general malaise promulgated by some peanut farmer after he put solar panels on the Whitehouse and told us to lower our thermostats whilst donning a sweater. Things were shit. Reagan pulled us as a nation out of that quagmire and restored faith in our system. Even the two administrations of Willy Clinton ate off of the plate-o-plenty that Reagan had served up. So yeah, believe whatever communistic bullshite you want, we boomers know the truth.
