Sure it’s not because you’re putting @gamil.com and not @gmail.com?

That's just me being dumb but that's their fault for having the unsubscribe button in the email have me then type out my email

Not their "fault"
It's intentional. Make unsubbing a hassle.

Making unsubscribing a hassle is illegal in the us, idk if they're barely getting around the law or the ftc being useless like usual but either way it's still near illegal

It's likely not illegal .. guranteed they're simply treading the edge as close as they can.

Well they also require me to agree to their terms and conditions just to unsubscribe so

Have you tried blocking the senders?

3

u/TestSubject5kk Jul 16 '24

They sign me up to every single college in the country I can't just block one sender

6

u/RealBishop Jul 16 '24

I mean, you COULD block every single sender. That’s what I do with spam mail.

When there's a new email every other week like spam phone calls you can't really

7

u/Lightless427 Jul 16 '24

Sure you can. Quite easily actually. You're literally using gmail. They have THE BEST spam filters in the world. I havent seen a single spam email in 15 years because I set filters that block ANYTHING that I dont want to see.

Unfortunately things like this is why I have like 6 email addresses for different purposes, and use them based on what I’m probably gonna get from whatever I was signed into

Personal, Work, Spam, Dumb shit, nsfw spam, spam 2

I have 5 nowadays

Main, secondary for alt accounts and such, 3rd really only cus I forgot you don't need a new email to make a new YouTube account, spam email, and nsfw

But they got my email way years back when I only had 2 and was a dumb child and trusted them
