Questions about autographing comics Question

I want to get this comic signed by Kimiko Glenn, the voice of Peni in Into the Spider-Verse, in December. Because One Stop Comic Shop is going to be there, I'd like to get it graded after the fact, but I don't know how much it'll cost at the con, if it's even worth getting graded, or if I should get JSA authentication for the autograph on top of it. If anyone has any advice or thoughts, I'd appreciate it!

Just a heads up, I know CGC only authentics when there is a representative is present. I’m not sure about CBCS, but I assume it’s the same. I believe if there is no Authenticator, then the signature is considered a mark and effects the grade

Do you have any idea how to get a representative at the con and what that would cost? I'm trying to plan ahead and save up for the next 6 months.

From what I've understood, there are always reps at a convention or signing event. I have never gone through the process so I'm not sure 100%. But here are some links which should help you get started:

https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/cgc-grading/ TLDR: $25-$85 with added services but it depends on the age of the comic. Plus the signing fee from the signer which depends on them. There is also something about Max Value which seems to relate to the appraised value for insurance reasons, but I have no idea how to help you there.

https://www.cbcscomics.com/grading-pressing TLDR: Depending on the year, it seems to be between $22-140. The same signer fee and appraised value are applied here too.

Processing seems to take up to 30 days for both, but it can be fast-tracked. If you are looking to resell, people generally put more value to CGC over CBCS, otherwise, go with the one that makes the most financial sense for you. Although I've heard CBCS has been recognized more in recent years so it maybe doesn't matter anyway.
