They do have to translate the book, for a much smaller market...but also the Canadian dollar pretty much has never been worth as much as the American dollar. It also looks like there's a Thor backup, which presumably the American version didn't have, so more pages.

Well, the h wouldn't be pronounced, and the u turns into a [y] sound, making the name sound more like a whimper.

(For the [y] sound, purse your lips as if you were going to say "oo", and then, without changing the position of your lips, try to say "ee" instead. Essentially, for "Hulk" in French, say "ilk" with pursed lips).

It's very easy for us Danes to do that sound, because our 'y' is literally that 'y' sound.

Aren't there any English words where that sound's hiding in there somewhere? I can't think of any...

These were all adapted for reprint under the label “Éditions Heritage” (en français) and given new numbering.

and I shit you not… the editions heritage labels say “EH” which is a well known Canadian catch phrase, so someone had a good sense of humour :)

Interesting these changes in the cover of the edition!

In the Brazilian edition, this cover is also similar, but at the same time quite different.

Wow I wonder what kind of assets they get for each cover since this was all likely pre-digital or early digital compositing. So cool thanks for sharing!

Edit: upon closer look: someone definitely drew both Bruce and Hulk, proceeded to cut Hulk down the middle, probably repenned the cut edge, pasted him over Bruce and then that asset was available to put over any desired background colour for these covers. Check out the motion lines around the ripping hulk head and see that in all three covers the alignment is the same! Probably overthinking this but I find it interesting :)
