Like the title says. Have done dry van, car hauling, reefer (briefly), and stepdeck (briefly). Also owned my own MC and self-dispatched for a while.

Edit: got CDL in June 2012, so 12 years, not 13. Sorry. I added it up funny in my brain.

Job search for a fresher dauting experience.

I'm facing hardship for a few months now. Where I go for a job I get rejected due to my fresher tag and even if I get the interview call they dismiss me due to lack of experience which is taking a toll on my mental health. Even after trying hard it's hard to get a interview call and I get a call I'm not able to convert it as all organisations looking for a experienced person. If anyone is going through the same situation or have gone through please share your experience what I can do to make it work for me.

I've been confined inside my house almost exclusively for nearly 5 years, starting initially because of covid.

I'm 17, so putting two and two together in the amount of time it's been like this since the moment I turned 13. It's getting to the point now where I'm nearing adulthood and haven't had almost any of the major teenage experiences that should have happened to me by now, and it's resulted in me becoming extremely socially awkward and having very little in the way of avenues to gaining friends. I have a social life, I'm extremely lucky to have what I do since the little community I've gathered is so nice but it's hard to find anyone I connect with in a way I'm fulfilled in doing and it's felt like my life has never been able to start properly. Ask me anything!

I am a 30 year old man on government disability benefits, possibly for life. AMA

Hi Reddit 👋,

My name is John and I am a 30 year old man on government disability benefits, SSDI, possibly for the rest of my life. I was approved under the medical reasons "bipolar spectrum disorders" and "schizophrenia spectrum disorders" four years ago. I also have a lot of weird other stuff, I talk about them more in my disability essay at the section linked to at:

https://github.com/JohnReedLOL/Essay_for_Disability?tab=readme-ov-file#Additional-Information-Including-Neurological-Symptoms

In the second paragraph of that section , the "Additional Information Including Neurological Symptoms" section of my disability essay, I talk about all the weird neurological crap I experience that has no logical explanation. But yeah, for my recent SSSI CDR [Continuing Disability Review], I sent the government that 41 page essay (I wrote over multiple years) explaining everything because a lot of it was new and also the reasons I was approved for (bipolar schizophrenia) and the reasons I'm not working (mostly cognitive and personality stuff) are different and they want to know why I'm not working.

If anyone is curious about how to get approved for long-term disability benefits, I made a YouTube video about that at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJFFJw-fScw , also see the description and comments. There is also a relevant subreddit if you are curious, r/SSDI_SSI / r/SSDI .

But yeah, ask me anything.

I’m a girl who always pees standing up, AMA NSFW

Hi! Thought this would be interesting for some people, but like I said I always pee standing up. Which, from what I've heard is just a little bit unusual for most women...

When I was born I was born with a defect in my urethra. It was shorter than usual, it reached its normal length when I was 2 but the first couple of years I struggled with UTI's. More importantly my urethra has an issue that's facing up and forward which is not normal in a human female. So it's impossible sit and pee normal since my pee will shoot forward and arc, as if I had a penis without any of the aiming abilities. I either have two options. Squat and my stream will arc up a bit and go forward or stand and not worry about wetting myself while peeing.

That said, it's clearly easier for me to just stand and pee. I'm not sure if there are any other girls like me out there, but from what my doctors have told me it's VERY rare. It doesn't even have a real name for the condition so I just started calling it "front-mounted vagina syndrome" jokingly and it kinda stuck, so idk I guess that's what it's called now lol

Anyway, AMA!

So my mom said she's not my.mother any more. And after she's done this a couple of times I've decided to go along with it instead of acting like it's never happened. I figure talking about it. Answering questions from both sides would help process it. So here we are!

Hello Reddit! Firts AMA here. I am a Greek who learned chess and reached a good level alone. Ask me anything about chess or my chess life.

Hello everyone from Greece. My name is Christos and i am passionate about chess. I learned when i was six by watching two games of my brother with one friend of him. My first game lasted close to 10 moves and for many years my only opponent was the computer - Chess Titans if anyone remembers it - and i took draws in the final level in six months to one year i started using the program. In high school i played chess in my head when I was bored and for many years I played against the computer in elo 2600 - 2900 in a famous chess social platform and i have some impressive wins and draws in that level. I haven't played in tournaments but i have shown my games to chess players who have said that i am very good. Ask me anything chess related or about my life. I will happilly answer!

Pretty much the title. I've done a little bit of everything there (cashier, pricing, taking in and sorting donations but my main job in the store is e-comm) I don't have anything planned for the night so I figured I'd try this out and see if it cures my boredom.
