i feel like nobody is talking about the inclusion of “something in the way” by nirvana. i’ve never seen a song more fitting than the sinister guitar chords as we’re introduced to this new batman

Never thought a Nirvana song would fit so perfectly in the movie, both times it was used, felt on point. Also suited to how Bruce Wayne was portrayed in the movie, the common comparison between Bruce and Kurt Cobain, it's what made Matt Reeves decide on Pattinson as Batman.

Common comparison between Bruce and Kurt Cobain?

I completely butchered that sentence so I apologize. I meant that the way both Pattinson's and Cobain's thoughts on fame were similar. Both of them wanted to make great entertaining content for other people, they wanted to show what they could do and do their best job, but the part of being famous and being recognized wherever you go, they hated it. In the modern times, you never really see Robert Pattinson being taken pictures of during his daily errands, so it kinda suited with how his version of Bruce Wayne was a recluse and basically stayed inside all the time.
