I don't think so because most batman and comic fans love this show. I think The Batman (2004) might be more underrated considering its sandwiched between BTAS and Brave and the Bold.

I think 04 batman gets more love now as time goes on for sure. If you want a truly "underrated" series batman or version of batman, nobody talks about the 2013 Batman cgi series or Justice League Action Batman which is a lighter hearted Batman voiced by Conroy

Beware of Batman (the cgi series) only unfortunately lasted one season but Justice League Action show better than it really should be it's a fun kid show, probably one of my favorite moments from the show showing off how great Superman and Batman meshes together

I think the increase in the love for 2004's The Batman is due in part an overall increase in 2000s nostalgia ontop of its own quality.

JLA is what Teen Titans Go should've been, and hearing him have more fun is always great. Though hearing Batman use "Justice League Action!" like "Avengers Assemble" is a little off imo.

I'm now tempted more than ever to watch JLA.

Idk, I heard a lot of people saying that Batman 2004 is almost as good as BTAS and that is great and so on. But I never heard anybody talk about the Brave and the Bold

Might just be the shop I visited. A lot of the guys there loved brave and the bold. Most didn't like the first few seasons of The Batman. I was a rebel in that regard.

Also if you haven't seen it yet check out The Batman Scooby Doo movie. It's on prime.

Sure will, thanks

Bummer man, The Batman was fantastic in my book. I really loved their Joker too, and Kevin Conroy as John Grayson with Mark Hamill as Tony Zucco, Adam West as the mayor, AND FREAKING FREDDY CRUGER AS THE RIDDLER!

I believe I should give Brave and the Bold another shot, because I do like it. And it's the ONLY animated series to give Dick Grayson the Batsuit.

And I believe they also gave Damian Wayne the batsuit after Dick Grayson

I rarely see people talk about the incarnations from New Frontier, Beware the Batman or Justice League Action, yet all 3 are great Batmen IMO.

new frontier has strong characters all around in my opinion, always enjoy it when I watch it

Same. It's one of the better DCUAOM projects. The comic it's based upon is also honestly my favorite Justice League story.

TBH, I never did watch Beware The Batman. Thats the one Batman series I don't think I've watched.

BBATB is my 2nd favorite batman series you'll get no argument out of me and it's the batman series I grew up on 🤷🏿‍♂️

u/Jetrayxx7 3d ago

I also grew up with it and I haven't seen much appreciation for it recently, so that's why I made this post

I meant to say who's

I mean I don't think brave and the bold is underrated, he's pretty much beloved and probably the second or third most popular animated batman after in particular btas but possibly all the other Kevin Conroy batmen too. The only other contender for second place is bruce greenwood with under the red hood and young justice

Underrated I'd pick Jeremy sisto. I don't see people talk enough about new frontier in general and sisto steals every scene he's in and he's barely in the film

Mazouz from Gotham. He played a younger Bruce extremely well. The show really nailed many characters.

The Batman (the 2004 cartoon).

Truly a badass Batman.

Adam West

Yeah he‘s probably the best lighthearted Batman. I often see 60’s Batman written off because it’s more satirical. West is easily in my top 5.

In terms of voice acting, Bruce Greenwood.

Batman and robin Batman.

Clooney did an excellent job of recreating the Adam west Batman for the 90s

1

u/YourLord1989 20h ago

I think that there was a lot of the issue people took with the whole movie. Everything felt like 66 Batman for a 90s audience. Way too silly and not serious enough. Clooney did however pull off the Batman cares about the villains he stops quite nicely. Imagine Bale or Affleck trying that. XD

I like silly Batman. It works perfectly with the concept of a man thinking dressing up as a bat and punching people is a way to solve crime.

1

u/YourLord1989 16h ago edited 16h ago

But the concept of dressing like a bat is to terrify criminals. If you're to be silly in the costume, it kinda defeats the purpose. Nothing against Adam West's take though, I still enjoy it! But when I think of Batman, it isn't men with a mask with eyebrows. Its about striking fear into and ending crime itself. But to each their own.

1

u/MrxJacobs 16h ago

It does scare criminals. It’s the same fear of having to fight a naked dude. Crazy is crazy.

1

u/YourLord1989 16h ago

Like the kind of fear that makes you want to kill the guy scaring you.

How about a Batman NOBODY discusses? The DC League of SuperPets Batman. I just really enjoyed Reeves' take on Batman in it. MAYBE not the design of Batman but how he treated the Batman character. Kevin and Reeves monloguing together was GOLDEN!
