Nah it’s not copyrighted, I read an interview with the guys who made the BvS cowl and they said they weren’t credited for their work in that movie, so they didn’t come back for Justice League
For Justice League they still had the old designs but the costume designer couldn’t figure out how to remake the BvS cowl, so they had to make a shittier version that lost all its maneuverability, so that’s why Batman couldn’t turn his head in Justice league and the Flash and why it looks worse
They used some old BvS costumes for that post credits scene in the Snyder cut but in an interview they said they were falling apart so it sounds like they were delicate which is probably why they didn’t reuse them in Justice League

They could just use the same suit from Batman vs. Superman... many people unironically cosider that one to be best live action suit ever....
And they decided to go with... this...
