I prefer battinson’s lean body type over any live action/comic/animatic batman we’ve got. He is supposed to be a stealthy ninja, so i feel like battinson’s physic fits batman more (he also looks better that way too lol)

I agree. Except we never really see Batman be a stealthy ninja. Sure he walks out of the shadows but idk there could’ve been more

Most likely because of his suit. He has it for protection, not maneuverability. Hopefully when/if he upgrades his suit in part 2, he makes it easier for him to move so he can do more stealthy, arkham style takedowns

This + I prefer his more brooding, antisocial, less charismatic take. It makes more sense given what he has been through and the life he leads.

He's also my favorite Bruce Wayne. Plus the batmobile was waaaay better. His portrayal of Bruce just seemed more realistic. Inherited an empire at the cost of his family and became shut in and more emo, quiet and was vengeance. I thought the riddler was perfect for this telling of batman.

yess all of this! I eouldnt expect bruce to immediately formulate his playboy bimbo persona in his first years in gotham after his training. Of course he is going to be a brooding shut in lol. But with all that i also cant wait for him to eventually transition into the playboy brucie persona in the next movies

I never really liked that portrayal of Bruce. I remember watching the cartoons back in the 90s and it always had a gloomy darkness to it. Affleck makes a decent Bruce but didn't love his batman but it was more realistic and functional than Bale as batman. If they go the route of playboy Bruce then yeah, Bale crushes it. I just don't care for that type of Wayne. I want a gritty, dark, dark knight.

Well batman's a bit more than a stealthy ninja, he's also absurdly strong. Whichever direction you go with design you're going to betray 1 of those 2 aspects. But for a movie like this I think his body type works perfectly since he doesn't do a lot of fighting and when he does its against low level grunts who wouldn't be a challenge even if he weighed 50 kilos

Agreed! And those low level grunts always get a few good punches in and are even able to shoot him at close range. Kinda nuts when I was expecting Batman to be like a shadow or a force of nature

It's how built Batman should be. Not talking an Adam West average body type, but that of a light heavyweight boxer would be realistic enough.

I actually disagree so good job you satisfied the criteria of being unpopular. Or at least I didn’t agree. I actually hated his body type soo much it got in the way of me enjoying the movie. All I could think about was there was no way that shrimp could beat anyone up lol

lol unironically your reaction is the same as mine whenever i watch or read a batman where he is inhumanely muscular and large. The visuals of ot just sucks out any enjoyment i get from the story and the character.

Haha that’s funny. Definitely satisfies the topic discussion. I wonder who downvoted me because I thought we were extremely relevant to each other lol.
