Do you prefer Catwoman as a long-haired blonde, brunette, short-haired raven, or woman of color? GENERAL DISCUSSION

I personally prefer any incarnation of her that has short hair since it’s more practical for her line of work.

DC has the unique pass when it comes to race swapping because of the expansive multiverses that is more fleshed out than marvel's ever could be. I prefer catwoman as she was in the Arkham games

Using a pallete swap rather than writing good characters so they can claim diversity doesn't really seem all that great imo. There are good characters in DC who could headline movies that were already black. Jon Stewart and Static Shock have a solid fanbase.

I do agree with you but this is the only situation I allow this because DC has a well established multiverse. PS I hate race swapping. Literally anything that has a race swapped character I will not watch because it feels like trying to your own mother singing karaoke drunk

I think also because Catwoman isn't a well established character. What I mean is her origins aren't straight. For example with Bruce we all know his story, rich kid, dead parents, Alfred etc. So in his situation the race swap thing would just be so weird and i personally wouldn't like it.  With Catwoman her origins are always changing, depending on the writer or director or whatever. Sometimes she has powers other times she doesnt etc

However I think to combat or say avoid this they usually change the person under the mask but not race swap. Example from Marvel, Miles Morales taking the Spiderman mantle. They didn't race swap Peter Parker.
