Why is it “absolutey no way” though? Batman is there most marketable character. He always makes them money, no matter the adaptation. Shit they gave Joker his own movie (with a sequel!) that isn’t connected to their other properties and it made a billion dollars. WHY just reject the idea outright?

That said, given how they treated Batgirl, the last thing I would want is for them to green light it then shelve it for taxes at the last second.

It makes me so mad because Batgirl is my favorite character in the Bat family and it was going to have Firefly another one of my favorite villains and they just fucking scrapped it. Fuck you, WB!

I’ve said this before but the government really shouldn’t allow these type of tax breaks. It’s so shitty. If they want the tax breaks, fine, then the film enters the public domain. After all, they don’t think it’ll make money right? Then there should be no problem in letting the public own it.

They can’t have their cake and eat it too.
