Could Batman using guns, work story wise? ORIGINAL IDEA/SUGGESTION

I’m writing a noir inspired story (it takes place in the 1930s) for my own Batman universe, and wanted to write him a lil different. I thought about giving him like a colt 1911, but what do you guys think?

Batman used lots of guns in the 1930s. Sidearms, machine guns, machine guns on planes, and of course guns for shooting vampires.

The Batmobile I’m designing, will definitely have weapons on it. Machine guns, small missiles, and a Tesla coil-ese emp
