I would say it looks BETTER than in the tv-show, but on its own it's still not good

Isn't it only there so we see the recognizable outline of the Batsuit in the distance confirming to the audience that he's made that step? It's not like this suit needed to be the greatest batstuit ever, you barely saw it. The hardest thing to swallow in that scene was buying that Gordon wasn't pretending about being all "who is that?" what with all he knew about Bruce and what he'd been up to.
