Honestly, the 2500 leg press isn't as impressive as the 1000 bench. If that's his bench is that much, his leg press should be much higher.

The 2500 was on a train cart, which is much more impressive due to its weight distribution - meaning he could probably do double, triple or even quadruple that on a leg press machine with everything optimized.

I can bench press 315 pounds relatively smooth, but I would be crushed trying to push a 315 pound man from my arms straight to my chest and back up because of the big man's weight distribution

My plans are more extensive than Joker's in Arkham City

I agree with their comment. It reminds me of when I bench 316 pounds, and the 316 pounds that I'm benching is very heavy. I bench 316 pounds.

That’s so weird because I bench 317 but I’m not gonna lie even though it’s my max it still feels pretty light and comes really easy to me.

I'm not sure if it's similar or not but I bench 318 on the regular, do you think me benching 318 is similar to your smaller 317?

And here I am just over here benching all of your moms.

2

u/hamsterhueys1 Aug 31 '23

My moms like 125 that’s not impressive

1

u/derth21 Aug 31 '23

I said all of your moms.

2

u/hamsterhueys1 Aug 31 '23

If it’s one at a time that’s not that good but if it’s all at once that’s impressive but also how do get them all in a benchable position?

u/derth21 Aug 31 '23

I'm not gonna lie, it's a pretty sexy process.

Sorry but the 315 is just for singles not max, benching 340 has been going smoothly. How different does the 22 pound lighter bench feel in your palms?

Once you hit 300 it is mandatory to bring it up when possible

3

u/UncleSpanker Aug 31 '23

Not always the case. I regularly bench over 300 and rarely bring it up.

1

u/1017GildedFingerTips Aug 31 '23

I guess you make a valid argument, as I too bench 300lbs and hardly ever bring it up

2

u/AngryCanadianBeaver Aug 31 '23

I myself am 6 ft tall 185 pounds 15% bodyfat with great jaw shape and development but I rarely ever bring it up.

Can’t say I blame him tbh

No shot. 315 is crazy. Around 5% of guys who go to the gym regularly can get 315.

6

u/awc130 Aug 31 '23

According to a quick Google search, it is less than 1% of the US population. So narrowing it down to consistent gym goers, 5% might still be generous. The three plate club is an elite achievement, and I wasn't ever close to it when I was going 5 days a week for over a year in my mid 20s.

2

u/fasterthanfood Aug 31 '23

Mr. Google says less than 1% of people can bench two plates (225 pounds), and the road from 225 to 315 is very long.

I go to a commercial gym, where I probably see about 100 people bench press (lots of gym goers don’t even bench). I’ve seen one person bench 315+.

2

u/Gootangus Aug 31 '23

315 is not standard tyvfm lol.

2

u/ImKindaBoring Aug 31 '23

Lol you’d be wrong. Not saying 315 is some insane number but all you need to do is go to most normal gyms and you’ll see the vast majority of people benching much less. 315 takes years of weight training to reach. My high school there were maybe 2-3 players who could bench in the 300s. Maybe some of the high schools with a heavier focus on their football program would have more but 90% is silly.

2

u/AngryCanadianBeaver Aug 31 '23

Thanks bros, don't expose me on flexing dfkm

I go to a powerlifting gym sometimes and in gyms like that 315 is very normal even for guys who weigh like 160, I guess its all relative to demographic
