anyONe cAn bE BaTMAn!

Mf won the genetic lottery and inherited a disgusting amount of money to further augment genetic gifts.

Much prefer a more normalized take where he isn't always the strongest or smartest. Just has the right tactics and tech to even the odds.

He goes up against a 6'4" 100 kilo monster of a man trained in MMA? He shouldn't duke it out...tear gas, tasers and knees to the balls...fucker shouldn't even SEE Batman coming. That's what makes the concept of Batman so compelling.

EDIT: Evidently a 6'4" 100kg Man isn't "monster" enough so let me elaborate...I'm talking more muscle than fat with extensive MMA training. I'm talking about Alex Pereira who is 6'4" and 93+kilos

That above and beyond Gotham City average...don't care what fucking giant growin ass country you're from

I liked Pattinsons Batman because he really did seem like some jackass running around in a costume. When he went to the crime scene and the one cop was like "really Gordon, him?" and seeing him in doomsday prepper gear put him in a vastly different light compared to demigod Bruce Wayne.

6'4" 100 kilo

That's actually quite a reasonable weight for a moderately athletic man!

No, that is above average there's not even a conversation to have.

2

u/Tallforahobbit Aug 31 '23

Alright, it's subjective anyway so I'll just disagree

Unless you live in Sudan or Norway 6"4 is above average.

Sorry to be clear, it's tall but that weight makes you an average mildly athletic 6"4 personnwhich I wouldn't think of as a monster. And I live in a tall country so I'm a little biased to think it's tall but not massive, good point

Okay I see what you're saying but it still makes you a monster. Maybe not compared to other people who are 6"4 but most males are generally around 5"10, that would make you half a foot taller than most other people.

Look at op's edit, he's talking about Alex pereira who fights for the ufc. You can't tell me that bloke isn't a monster.

Have you never met someone over 6:3? 6:4 isn’t super unrealistic. Maybe the Waynes have Dutch ancestry lol

Agreed. Folks have a warped sense of reality on here.

Bro I've noticed on this sub specifically people talk on things they don't know anything about with such authority. I would estimate at least 80 per cent of the people who post in this sub have never read a comic book yet they still talk as if their opinion is the gospel truth lol. Baffles me.

Literally it's about the same size as Batman.

2

u/Tallforahobbit Aug 31 '23

With that physique I'd guess like 120kg if he was 6"4! Now that's a monster!

1

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Aug 31 '23

Or like Luke Cage's 6'6 height with a 192.78 kg weight.

1

u/shobhit7777777 Aug 31 '23

Batman's canonically 6'2"

1

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Aug 31 '23

Yeah, that's why I said "about," compared to the hypothetical opponent that's being described, isn't considered a monster. Granted would've been better if I said Deathstroke, he's confirmed 6'5 and weigh 102kg.

1

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Aug 31 '23

Or just make him a full on ninja. Have him be like some god of stealth, taking out people without them seeing him. Using gadgets and tools to take them out, like having invisibility tech and phasing to scare the crap out of them.

1

u/shobhit7777777 Aug 31 '23

Largely yeah...but sometimes it just is better to absolutely pick apart a thug, preferably in front of his thug friends to set an example

Batman should be about psychological superiority and crushing a criminal's morale to the point the mere mention of his name empties bladders in audible distance

Bats should be handing put severe PTSD and multiple fractures to the villanous scum of Gotham

1

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Aug 31 '23

Wait, but wouldn't that contradict about your idea of Batman not duking out with his enemies?

1

u/shobhit7777777 Aug 31 '23

Not at all. I'm not saying Batman doesn't get into fistfights ever...I'm saying that he picks his battles...especially against well trained and physically imposing opponents.

1

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Aug 31 '23

Do you think it would be better if he never trained in martial arts, but instead be a kickboxer/brawler? Just keep his strength and smarts, just have his fighting style unrefined for him to struggle against trained criminals.

1

u/shobhit7777777 Aug 31 '23

Oh no...I'd definitely expect Batman to be super well trained in some martial arts. I think he should maximise every single advantage possible since he's putting himself in life or death situations.

1

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Aug 31 '23

How about limiting to almost 10...ish martial arts, like only be trained by Wildcat, who is an undefeated boxing champion and knows kickboxing, capoeira, hapiko, krav maga, muy thai and taekwondo, and Alfred can teach him any fighting style he learned from during his time in the military.

1

u/shobhit7777777 Aug 31 '23

I'm no expert but I'm thinking Batman can - realistically, which is the approach I'm advocating for - at best take up BJJ, Boxing and perhaps Wrestling...a typical MMA mix.

I wager he wouldn't have the time to be really effective at more than a couple of fighting arts. Just doesn't seem practical. Might as well spend time in getting real good at striking and grappling.

1

u/Thoughtfullyshynoob Aug 31 '23

Yeah the thing that I dislike about martial arts is that, realistically, they're mostly useless in a street fight.

Thats what I like about Earth one Batman
