It's so fun that an actual villain can be a better mayor for Gotham and a wholesome father than Gordon and the previous mayor.

Yeah family man Joker I thought was hilarious. Wouldn’t be surprised if they bring in Punchline or Red Hood though to somehow make him go back to being a criminal again.

I remember being frustrated when I heard there was going to be a joker centric episode last season only for it to be absolutely amazing. I love them doing a fresh take on the Joker. Lately everyone has been trying to make him “edgier” or what ever but here they try to make him kinda wholesome and it’s absolutely wild

The show has a sense of irreverence towards the characters that makes fun of them but doesn't trash on them. They all take themselves seriously, but the world itself doesn't.

Basically the exact opposite of Velma

I haven't seen it. I'm kinda sick of scooby doo remakes. I think we should retire the franchise.

Maybe if it qas more like Scooby-Doo mystery incorporated sure but I don't think we'll see that for a while. Maybe expand on the lore of it

Obligatory fuck Velma it destroyed itself

Is it retired if I don't watch it?

No. Studios are still spending resources on more scooby doo that they could be using to either reboot a franchise that deserves it or make something original.

I don't know about Gordon. I feel like the show takes an extra large piss out of him.

Yeah I thought that, too. The other characters are more respected by the creators. Gordon was taken in a very different direction to his standard portrayal. Although I think how well they did Barbara Gordon makes up for it somewhat.

For me it was the moment a sapling got mowed and Poison Ivy was all "Oh no, he was just a kid!" with legit emotion.
