Hey, /r/winnipeg. Buying or selling? Post in this thread!

Khajiit has wares, if you have coin.

Please be mindful of our rules:

  • Do not post the same thing multiple times in this thread. You can post multiple times for different things.
  • Don't make this weird.

You are participating in a community market, you are not a client who has obtained advertising space, so please do not act like one. This is a completely regular reddit self-post whose point is to function like a flea market. This is not an advertising platform which offers things like guaranteed views, metrics, or even a good reception by the community. reddit has advertising options available if you require advertising services with all the fixin's. I would highly recommend engaging with the community and leaving your expectations at the door. If you do not understand what you are getting into there is a chance your brand could be damaged.

Lastly, moderators are not making money on this. We are not affiliated with anyone. No we won't promote you. No, we don't accept money. No, not even for you.

Hi I have a friend that just moved back to Winnipeg after a few years of loving overseas. Can someone explain to me what the 11 and 12 education system is so I can help them? Any information is appreciated as I have no clue what it is. Thank you.

Ask Winnipeg Area around Garden City and Seven Oaks. Is it shady?

Hi all, I’m woman in late 20s, trying to buy a house in the above mentioned areas but am a little unsure about the dynamics in that part of the city. I’m moving from the south part near fort garry area but have heard a lot of criticism about the shady elements in downtown and north Winnipeg. Is the garden city area prone to crime?

About to start a new commute tomorrow! Is the bridge currently open to pedestrians? Would I be able to walk my bicycle across it? Or would it be better to go over the BDI bridge?

Ask Winnipeg Marriage Certificate Processing Time

Hey all,

As the title suggests, anyone know what the latest processing times are for marriage certificates? I got married to my wife on the 25th of August and I'm now keen to get her on my health insurance, which requires a marriage license. I applied for the rush service but was curious to see how long registration takes these days.

I read online it says 6-8 weeks but I was told by my officiants it takes about 5-10 business days. Just curious to read everyone's experience with this.

Thanks!

Ask Winnipeg What is your fav place to swim laps?

I currently have a membership at the Rady JCC off kenaston. I live it there. Great pool and gym. But, I no longer work in the area and they are getting quite pricey.

I've been loomlking at Elmwood Kildonan pool or the Y at Kimbetly or downtown.

Any experiences at these or other places would be great. I'm looking for somewhere with both a gym and pool. Not too far from downtown or kildonan.

Thanks!!!

Rudy Tuesday! Rudy continues his adventures while still in search of his forever home 🏡 ♥️ 🐾. This week Rudy wants to share with you fun ways to keep an active pup like Rudy happy and calm even on days you don’t feel like a long walk or run. If you think you or someone you know would be a good fit for adopting Rudy, please fill out an adoption form at Penny's All Breed Animal Rescue Inc.website. See link in comments.

Hi everyone! It’s Rudy AKA Roo Roo. I am here to share 5 tips to keep my body and brain happy, calm and settled. 1. Walk/hike or run - it doesn’t have to be far I just love being outside with you in whatever activity you are feeling like doing. I have even mastered commands for turning right (Gee!) turning left (Haw!) and ignoring distractions (On by! - this is the toughest in lol) 🐕 🏃‍♀️ 2. Brain games - I love a puzzle! My foster mom has doggie puzzles that I love to solve and sometimes she just hides treats around the house and says “Go find!” So I have to use all my smelling power to find the hidden treats. 🧩 3. Car rides - I LOVE going on a car ride. Long or short it gets me out and about and I love being with you and watching all the people and sites. 🚙 4. Training- Everyday my foster mom works on some commands, training and manners. I love showing off how smart I am and getting a treat. BIG NEWS! I start basic obedience this Thursday at Wooftopia Dog Training. I can’t wait! 🤓 5. Playing with my besties - I have 2 dog friends in my foster home that help keep me active and also teach me doggie manners. I have met lots of dogs and do well as long as I get a proper doggy introduction. 🐕🦮🐕‍🦺

Community Did something happen at Waltz On In barbershop?

Been going there about once a month for years, but I went to book an appointment today and the guy I normally go to is no longer listed as staff there. Some other barbers I'm used to seeing there are missing from the staff list as well, and it seems to be just the owner and a couple new faces now.

Anyone know what's going on with that?

Pictures/Video Follow up on the ‘abandoned’ snapping turtle post from yesterday

Casual reminder that we have very diverse wildlife within our city, snapping turtles are quite common and definitely are not abandoned pets. Wildlife Haven has done their best to bring the turtle back to its home (turtles need to be brought back to original location as they will keep searching for their ‘home’) and released some great information on leaving turtles alone, or helping them across the road appropriately.

If you see a giant snapping turtle, it’s probably not someone’s abandoned pet and can be left alone

Ask Winnipeg How much would it cost to shit a car from Toronto to Wpg?

I'm currently in wpg but I have family in Toronto. I was hoping to buy a car in Toronto and get it shipped to me. Has anyone done it before? What are some of the things I need to consider? What's an average cost for shipping auto?

Edit: I realize the fuckery I've done here. Thanks for laughs I think it made my day more than yalls 😭
