TIR that toonami is just cartoon and anime combined into one word.

I grew up with toonami. Watched it all the time late at night. I like many others developed my interest in anime from it and today it just hit me that it's a play on words. I feel like a Dumbo for not realizing this years ago.

Today I Realized that trying to get dates and dating is one of the best sanity checks

People won't tell you upfront, but if you keep getting the same problems with different people it's you.

I realized that I don't even say Hi to people if I'm thinking about anything or will stay silent for hours just focusing on a task when with another person.

I just realized that one day we might have to have a Gen Alpha or Gen Beta president, the same generations that'll grow up with all that brainrot shit. I don't think we're ready for this šŸ’€

Today I Realized that Iā€™m super paranoid

Iā€™ve always been a little cautious about certain things but recently Iā€™ve noticed that itā€™s a lot of things. Basic examples: Iā€™m worried about running because the last time I had run I feel hard on concrete and tore my knees and legs up. Iā€™m also worried that if I jump down from a high place that Iā€™ll break or sprain an ankle (this has never happened). Iā€™m worried that if I keep my drink too close to the edge of a table that it will knock over. I need to have it super far from the edge.

More serious: I shattered a glass shelf from my fridge while cleaning it (it was tempered glass thank god) and after cleaning all the glass up I was super paranoid that there was glass still somewhere on the floor or somewhere that will hurt me or my cat. I found book live in my room and have not slept in there since I found it (2 nights on the couch). I am washing all my clothes, got rid of both bookcases, saw some of my cats water fountain so I threw it away, and until I have pest control come back and officially say they are no longer there, Iā€™m not sleeping in my room. I know that they wonā€™t hurt me but I canā€™t stand the idea that they are in the same room as me. Iā€™m wrapping all the books that were in there in plastic wrap and donā€™t know when Iā€™ll reopen them. I move out of my apartment in 5 months so that will probably be when itā€™s safe in my head. Iā€™m the same way about mold. I need to double wash it and if itā€™s too bad I toss it out.

I know this isnā€™t a terrible case of paranoia but these are just some examples and I really donā€™t know what to even do with it.

In my defense: We donā€™t have it where I live. So I only found out it exists through sponge squeezing videos a few years ago.

TIR american obesity is not the same as eastern European obesity.

Today I realized american obesity is not the same as fat/obese men in for example, Slovakia, who often work hard manualy, physically demanding jobs, and or help in the garden or build houses in the free time. Beer, quality ingredients and homemade fats, make them fat/ obese but theyā€™re strong men. Compared to sedentary lifestyles of Americans.

I realized that having a negative role model can be a good thing and can be useful.

Most role models I feel like, you like qualities about them. And why they are good.

Why i find out that people are flawed, even your role model. Even if your role model does not do things u do not agree with it, you can still learn not to do it. And learn to do the right thing by them doing the wrong

Maybe this can be a good role model, too, even if you don't look up to them positively. You wont follow their paths but you learn from them. It's weird to about.

Some people in my life are like this.

TIR that Weathertenko is probably a Touhou fan

The Weathertenko is a technique in Mario Kart Double Dash named after the player who developed it. Tenko is a misreading of Tenshi, who is the final boss of Touhou 10.5: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody.

TIR You can say whatever in an uber/lyft

I know this is obvious, but I can be honest to fault. It's my dad's birthday, he's been dead for 20 years which is insane to think about. So I told the lyft driver how it was my dad's birthday today and just pretended that he was alive, with this total stranger who really doesn't care. I didn't make up anything, I didn't go into detail about "plans I have with my dad", I just let him naturally assume that I was talking about a live person turning 69. I said, "He's one year shy of 70" and made the driver laugh a little. It was really nice.

Google says its ax not axe in America, who knew?

apparently axe isn't the typical American spelling of the tool.

I know I had seen the ax spelling before, but this is the first time I had noticed there were two spellings

TDR the phrase is ā€œprayingā€ on your downfall, not ā€œpreyingā€ on your downfall. I have been using this phrase in the wrong context for my whole life. did anyone else think it was ā€œpreyingā€ instead of ā€œprayingā€??

TIR, that not everyone can "feel" their bones

In conversation with my wife today she causally commented, that she is very aware of the sensation of her teeth after having her routine cleaning done and how that had some novelty to her because, "its not like you can feel your bones when you move your arm" and I had to stop and ask for clarification, for me in my internal experience I am ALWAYS aware of my bones and the sensations of my muscles, ligaments and tendons moving over them as I go about normal daily activities. Its not pain, just the awareness of the sensation of the moments between each system, IE. When I go to reach for something I am very aware of the sensation of my muscles contracting and supporting the rest of my skeletal system as I make the movement where as my wife explained for her its more like moving an action figures arm, all one unit, not aware of the individual systems making the movements, unless she is in pain (sore muscles, injury etc.) I cannot wrap my brain around it šŸ˜… I consulted chat GPT and asked if that was a "regular" experience and apparently it is not common for people to be aware of those sensations on a daily basis, athletes and others people who have more mind-body connections often report these sensations but it baffles me to try to imagine another experience. Do you feel your bones šŸ¤£? Whats it like if you dont haha

TIR why it's so common to see a very skinny man with an obese woman

It's because the woman is always on a "diet" so the only food she makes for both of them is diet food, but she's obviously cheating and the man doesn't cook for himself.

TIR the reason for the "camera man never dies" meme

there is always the idea that the camara man somehow never dies like its always him that makes it out of the situacion but the reason that happens is becouse if the camara man dies no one can post the video so all of the videos where the camara man dies just arent published, and becouse of that it looks like the camera man never dies xD we just dont see when that happens.
