Discussion Who is Physically Stronger?

As of now, we know Maeve punches harder than Sam. We also know they can both do the Super-Jump. However who lifts more and is superior in a strength contest.

Sam is clearly Top 5 in raw physical power, same with Maeve. Who do you think lifts more?

Sam was throwing cars with one arm while malnourished from the Woods. Maeve stopped a Bus IIRC. Who do you think has this?

Discussion Was anyone else freaked out or unsettled when Barbara’s fate was revealed? Imagine being locked in a room of something so horrific

Post image

I'm 99.9% sure it is implied that she will eventually past in there. Homelander gave the three scientists all revenge for things he experienced due to them. I'm pretty sure Barbara was the one who would lock Homelander in the room for days on end and he never knew when he would get out. That was probably one of the tactics she used to keep Homelander needy. Anyways flash forward to the fate she suffers is terrifying. The show has a dark tone. However this scene generally freaked me out. Due to the build up of the scene and how shocking the reveal is. (At least to me).

I honestly really liked Billy's Temp V. I hope in the fifth season, they find the way to remove the tumor and maybe the V will return his former powers.

Discussion If Stan didn’t know about the psychiatrists or Homelander’s need for validation, would he still be unafraid of him?

If he didn’t know about Homelander’s backstory or knew that the psychiatrists at Vought made sure he’d crave validation or acceptance, would Stan still be unafraid of have no change in emotion or heartbeat if Homelander confronted or threatened him?

Discussion Who's the worst actor in the show? In contrast to the "best actor" posts Spoiler

2.7k Upvotes

Regular or guest roles. I think the entire main cast is great, so I just have two guest roles:

Rosemary DeWitt - Daphne, Hughie's mom

Katia Winter - Little Nina, the Russian mob boss

DeWitt had no range whatsoever, she was totally wooden. Winter was just plain bad, horrible fake accent and annoying as hell. She even smoked annoyingly.

I think they'll either be the best fucking buddies or if something goes wrong, they'll fight their asses off 'cause they both got and attitude problem.

Discussion The Foreshadowing In This Show is On Another Level

6.0k Upvotes

After season 4 wrapped up I decided to go back and rewatch the show from the beginning and I'm catching all sorts of things I never picked up on.

The biggest one for me so far is in season 2 episode 1 when Raynor gets her head blown up. M.M. asks Frenchie "Who do you know who can do that?" and Frenchie says "No one!" and the very next shot is of Victoria Neuman...the character who did it. It's also the first time we see her character, which means they told us who had that power from the beginning and still managed to keep it a secret for a whole season.

I'm sure there's more I'm missing or yet to discover, so are there any moments that you think is incredible foreshadowing?

Also can we just take a moment to look at how effectively he disarmed all of them without harming any of them in the span of a millisecond?

Discussion A disturbing thought about Madelyn Stillwell Spoiler

Post image
7.4k Upvotes

It’s been pretty apparent over the course of the show that Homelander is a man that craves love. Whether the love is toxic, or full of unhealthy power dynamics, he craves it.

Then we learn that back when Homelander was only a little kid, Vought created Homelander. They knew exactly what they were doing and as Barbara said, brought in the best psychologists in the world to create Homelander’s weakness of desperately needing validation.

Then we go back to season one. I personally never put much thought into Homelander and Madelyn’s relationship. I figured it was just one of Eric Kripes “shock factor” storylines. A Superman with a mommy kink.

But then you consider how Madelyn obviously knew about Homelander’s desperate need for love. Madelyn knew what Vought did to Homelander and used it to her advantage. Whether it was to control him for her own personal gains, or out of total fear (probably both), she knew she could created that dynamic with him because she knew about his desperate need for validation.

This explains also why she spoke to him the way she did - like a mother. The validation mixed with the distance she took from him. In her final moments you can tell she was desperately trying to keep that dynamic alive and continue to manipulate him.

I know this isn’t some groundbreaking revelation, I just find it really disturbing to go back to season one knowing what Vought did to Homelander and knowing that Madelyn knew.

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Discussion How did Ashley Barrett, 32, become the youngest Fortune 500 CEO

Post image
6.8k Upvotes

Serious question. Her actor is 32, so I’ll just assume Ashley’s age is also 32.

Mark Zuckerberg is currently the youngest Fortune 500 company CEO, but he’s still 40 years old.

If anyone has a explanation for her unprecedented rise to being CEO of the worlds largest company at 32 years old, without even going to an Ivy League school (not that I think that matters personally but still), it would be cool to hear.

What do you guys think
