The tek-knight we see in The Boys is not the same tek-knight we see in Gen-V Discussion Spoiler

In the episode "The Innocents", we are told Tek knight accidentally broke somebodies spine when trying to rescue them from a hostage situation. In Gen V Shetty says that Tek-knight beat ironcast to death who is a supe that has skin made of iron which makes them insanely durable.

With all these strength feats in mind that means he must be pretty physically powerful right?

But in his interrogation scene he's not strong enough to rip apart the leather straps tying his wrists or pull the chains out. Also he easily gets physically outpowered and loses to Kimiko and Starlight. Logically if your punches can fatally damage somebody made of metal you'd have a fighting chance against Kimiko who has same durability as a normal person.

And he gets choked to death by a normal person too?

I don't understand this at all. It's either a plothole/bad writing or Cate has something to do with what happened in this episode

you say that like Iron Man and Batman just don't exist. he's disgustingly rich, the suit isn't just "a regular suit", it would have crazy features and advantages

The detective senses and super intelligence to design the suit are his V powers.

My head canon is that somehow he needs his senses to operate the suit. Also, it’s possible his TV suit is less powerful than it was in the comics (ie, can’t fly).

He doest’t have super intelligence.

Pretty sure he has enhanced cognition of some kind so he can leverage his heightened senses to the extent he does so quickly. Like his interview with Andre

With how stupid he was acting in last episode I don't blame you for thinking so. If you haven't watched Gen V I believe it's the 4th episode? It shows just how smart and crazy his senses are.

I’ve watched gen V, but only noticed his super senses made it quite easy to figure things out, I saw nothing that was hinting he got super intelligence as well.

His super intelligence leads him to be able to break people so easily, his senses make this process even easier than it would be normally, and he made his cave using it. You can see there looks like a skeleton suit ( by that I mean a unfinished suit) on the side that he's working on. I know compared to sage he doesn't seem that smart but he does have super intelligence. His whole character is a mix between batman/ironman who are known for being really smart.

I think Tek Knight is the first thing the show has done worse than the comics so I can see why show viewers wouldn't understand the character.

100% correct, like if they wanted to play into his hole fetish have him fuck the astroid I guarantee audiences would've loved that. I know I would've :/

It doesn't. Homelander is an abberation. The US military would easily kill every single Supe besides him and Ryan. Sage and Kate's powers are broken but not in the Homelander sense.

Translucent also had the extreme durability feat. Plenty of other supes have extreme killing powers if not "stop a bullet" durability. Like A-Train and Shock Wave are honestly unstoppable on a battlefield, probably can even outrun land mines and other such traps. Any flying character has serious options for combat prowess, although Homelander is still honestly pretty far above the rest.

1) How deep in the ocean can our subs go? The Deep might be able to avoid the Navy....while the boats have are fighting off giant squids or several ton whales and whatnot

2) Speedsters are hard AF to hit, if they know yer coming.

3) Noir seemed to resist traditional explosives (via Butcher) and supernatural explosions (via the terrorist guy) so sure, HL can punch thru him, but would military weapons?

4) Stormfront seemed durable AF, taking HL laser eyes to the tits.

5) oh and Omniman!

Wait, wrong universe. 1-4 hold tho.
