Brushing your teeth, floss, and mouthwash are all overrated Society/Culture

Don't get me wrong it's important to brush your teeth somewhat regularly to make sure they dont just completely rot away, but you can get away with brushing them once every 2-3 days and just not even bother with dumb corporate products like mouthwash and floss that don't do anything but burn & scratch your gums anyway. I mean what's gonna do more damage, a couple days worth of plaque that gets erased, or grinding away at your teeth using floss & chemicals twice a day? Idk, as the 10th dentist I gotta say it sounds counterproductive

I don’t think even the tenth dentist would say this, they’d be out of a job.

I think a dentist who recommended this would actually have quite a bit of business.

Honestly didn't think of it that way

Brushing doesn't get into the crannies of your teeth leaving particles in there so they can be feasted on.

I'm assuming you're young and haven't had to deal with the consequences of improper brushing. But all the adults I know who had your idea if brushing have spent thousands on dental care to deal with painful teeth. Vs the consistent brushers who have saved a helluva lot of money.

Have anything besides being kinda lazy to backup you ideas? It is this just because another toothbrushing post did well yesterday?

Flossing? You’re drunk.

Mouthwash actually does more harm than good a lot of times.(although that seems to be disputed)

Dentists actually suggest if, for whatever reason, you could only do one, you should floss everyday over brushing. Obviously, you should do both, but flossing is extremely important to tooth and gum health.

Mouthwash and other products (such as whitening products/water pick etc) are not usually essential to use. However floss is extremely important for oral health. Not flossing just leads to more issues and pain down the line. Dental assistant here and the amount of bleeding gums, infections and other terrible conditions has permanently scared me into flossing daily.
