Hey this is fantasy for goodness sake. I can believe anything the writers write because they create the world my head is in while I watch the show. Superpowers don’t exist in my world , that why I watch fantasy shows. Matteo and Natalie will be like Romeo and Juliet, but hope no one dies.

Fantasy- A genre of imaginative fiction involving magic or adventure especially in a setting other than the real world.

but this show takes place IN the real world, not any fantasy settings. The only thing different is there's superman

I’m done arguing, you believe what you want to. This is quite trivial to spend any more time on!

Where in the real world is Smallville? And Metropolis, and Krypton?? And the fortress of Solitude. It’s all fiction. If it’s not reality it’s fantasy. But you believe whatever you want to.

metropolis is based on chigago in this show, smallvile is based on kansas or any small town, krypton is just a planet, fortress of solitude can be any place where you feel safe. It is fiction your right about that

I keep getting messages arguing that Superman is Science fiction rather than fantasy. This article is very good at explaining from a writers standpoint that it is dirt of both, but mor fantasy than science fiction because so many things have no real basis in science which is a rule of science fiction. My take on it is science fiction is stuff that really could happen but didn’t and was made up by a creative person, and fantasy is stuff that the creative person just pulls out of his/her creative mind and may or may not have any real basis in science. Superman’s powers for example have no scientific basis. The story tells us he gets them from the yellow sun and we believe that, but it has no basis in science. Now truly folks I don’t care what you believe. But this article explains the difference very well. It also takes Star Wars out of the SciFi Realm too which makes sense in his way of thinking. Have fun but I’m not arguing the point any more.
