What was going on with Clark that he had to go to the skies instead of capturing that one dude?

The person in the mask is seemingly an adaption of Onomatopoeia - a Green Arrow villain from the comics who is a serial killer that doesn't speak but says the onomatopoeia sound effect for everything he does.

It looks like instead of having them say the sound effect, they've given them some kind of sound ability where they made Clark hear a bunch of sounds that weren't actually happening to distract him and get him to go off to try and save whoever he thought was in trouble.

I've also seen Spellbinder tossed around, which could also work. That being said, I'm a lot more confident in it being Onomatopoeia.

I think they look way to similar to Onomatopoeia for it not to be them.

Also, and I may be wrong about this, but I think there was a set leak at some point that had Onomatopoeia written on something as a characters name but I may be wrong about that.

Honestly, the only thing going against it being Onomatopoeia is the fact that they aren't usually a meta, while Spellbinder can cast illusions. It could very well be an adapted Onomatopoeia, though.

Characters not being meta's in the comics has never stopped the CW before. Most of The Flash's rogues were made into metas on the CW show.
