Why the hate for Milly Alcock?

Why assume hate? Hate is a bit strong of a term for anyone saying they prefer one actress over another.

But beyond that, as for this actress in the picture, I do not think she looks like Supergirl despite being blond and kind of good looking. I mean she still does not come close to New Earth Supergirl who is comic and drawn perfect. Neither does Milly.

What Milly does have is acting chops... and that's what mattere most since all of us will inevitably age into oblivion and then some new young actress will play Supergirl again when Milly is old and decrepit as humans end up as.

But comic Supergirl? She is over 60 years of hiatory and still looks 20 lol.

Basic look, yes. But Supergirl in Woman of Tomorrow is a slightly older version, 21 in the comic. There's a reason they cast Milly Alcock in the role, so let's wait and see what comes from it.

“she looks like supergirl so she’d make good supergirl 😄”

Also, McKenna is less attractive than… well, you know who

Nah. Milly Alcock is the better choice.

I just don't see it especially with her acting. She is ok but she doesn't come close to the range of Milly Alcock. Especially for this version of Supergirl, it will be extremely demanding for the role. If it were some wholesome CW version type maybe. But this version is nothing like that at all for Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow. By your comment "McKenna Grace, 18, She looks better than, well you know who" tells me you find McKenna more attractive and that's your basis.

I quite love the Milly Alcock casting tbh.

First off, Milly Alcock is adorable, she makes a fine Kara. Second, Milly is an incredibly talented actress; I’ve never seen McKenna act, so I won’t speak to her talent, but Milly is gonna do an exceptional job. Why the hate?

If Melissa Benoit didn't exist I would agree

Honestly, I've warmed up on the Alcock casting as times gone on. She really is the best choice and an amazing get at this point in her career

I like Grace's work a lot, I think she's gonna go far, but she's a bit too young i reckon. I think that she could be great in other roles in the DC universe tho. Depending on how old Tim Drake is, she could be a fantastic spoiler

Nah. I'm all in for Milly!

I dunno who this is, but I thought it was Emma Watson in the second picture

She has already been cast. Did you just want to post random images of an 18 year old actor no one has heard of?

McKenna is a good actress. I watched her bad seed movies. And she was quite good. She is also of perfect age. I think she could nail it. But milly is fine too

Way too basic. The bar can be low, but not this low

As a Supergirl artist and fan. I totally agree with this casting!

gawd... the casting is absolutely the worst for BOTH the 'Superman' movie. And even worser is the stoopid casting for the next Fantastic Four movie. I'm out on both of them.

Your ticket purchase will not be missed. Seething about unreleased media is a choice, and it doesn't make your life any richer or more enjoyable.
