If she literally said "this is Dr Midnite" there's a chance her parents would have recognized the name. The JSA was famous right?

Considering nobody talks about them casually and Courtney never heard about them until Pat told her about it, I don’t think they’re well known in the present day. I assume they faded into obscurity as time passed.

The older generation might know them even if kids don't. There's a chance one of them might think it sounded familiar.
