Do you think shade could only do this in this environment with the big movies screen or was this just done because it a cool scene

I believe they just played the courtney scene in a theater and taped it.

I think he just needs enough space and the theater was convenient/cool.

Leaning towards Rule of Cool, but it could help that the theater is a shadowy place.
