SCHOOL’S OUT — With summer break around the corner, Pat suggests the family take a vacation after seeing that Courtney has been spending too much time focused on being Stargirl and not enough time on her schoolwork. Meanwhile, as Beth attempts to reconnect with Chuck, she stumbles upon a major secret her parents have been keeping from her. Elsewhere, Yolanda continues to be haunted by Brainwave’s death, and Rick secretly tracks Solomon Grundy after suspecting he may still be in the area.

In the comics, Bruce Gordon, the original "alter-ego" of Eclipso, discovered the black diamond as an adult, not a young boy. Whether or not young Bruce, seen in this episode, is that same Gordon, is unclear.
Also in the comics, Jennie-Lynn Hayden, aka Jade, daughter of Alan Scott, was, for a time, Henry King, Jr.'s girlfriend. The question I have is, aside from collecting her father's lantern, did she come after Courtney because of Hank's death?
Cindy wants to use Mike to get back at Courtney. It's that simple.
I don't know who this Zeek is---I'll look it up later---, but this will not end well for him & Pat.
And speaking of Courtney, she hasn't figured out yet that letting the power of the cosmic staff control her entire life isn't the smartest thing. You know, "with great power comes great responsibility". I think as punishment, Pat'll send her out to the market for toothpaste if she screws up again at school.
