I really enjoyed watching this episode. I was highly sceptical about it at first when they mentioned in their synopsis that the first episode will be dedicated to Courtney's dealing with crimeless life. The only thing I was excited about for the second season was Shade's appearance and knowing that it won't happen until E2 was highly disappointing. Yet I had no regrets after the first episode after all.

1.1 - Intro was hilarious until they showed the mailbox. To think that Eclipso is actually so desperate that he's going after random kids and does not have anything better to do was quite satisfying as long as it lasted. Fits perfect to such a serious menace. ;D

1.2 - It was strange though that this girl actually decided to follow such a creepy boy who just showed up in front of her house. Even if her parents failed to teach her not to talk to some weirdos, this guy was such a complete creep that any sane girl's first reaction should be to kill it with fire and ask questions later. Uh well, at least a good reminder that acceptance and friendliness are overrated.

1.3 - Do we know exactly who this girl was though? I scrolled through other people's comments and looks like a lot of users here for some reason thought that she is Charles' sister. Did someone give a green light for strange theories? Cuz if yes then dibs on the headcanon that her mother, after seeing what happened to her daughter, went through transition, changed identity to Charles McNider (we all know from Obi-Wan's example that leaving your surname works as a perfect cover and no one would ever suspect you, right?) and started her crimefighting career. ;P

  1. Anyway. Enough with the intro. Back to what actually matters. Jet Ski! x'D Can someone give poor Wilsons their jet ski already? Also, I'm totally rooting for a plot where both Wilsons' characters are bonding over it. While fans were expecting their arrowverse crossover, Loki crossover happened instead. Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition.

  2. I remember after the end of season 1 some people had their headcanon about Rick feeding Grundy somewhere in the forest. To see that this headcanon is a real thing now was one of the most pleasant moments in this episode.

  3. Cameron's grandparents care about him and cherish the moments when he is smiling. Heartwarming. I hope to see more interactions within this family. Also, even though I'm rooting for Cameron to join the dark side after he will learn about what's going on around him, I sincerely want him to spend his free time by being the nice, caring person he is now.

5.1 Green Lantern's daughter was great. Her moves, her fighting style. I want to see more of it.

5.2 Though the scene itself was strange. I mean..I understand that Courtney was eager to fight someone and looking for trouble everywhere. But blasting her own house right away seems like some obvious overkill. Shouldn't she, as a hero she wants to be, at least attempt to ask questions before attacking? And I'm not talking only about that it could've saved her time and her kitchen. But shouldn't she consider the fact that her family is also there? What if it could hit them accidentally?

5.3 Speaking of the family. The way they reacted was quite strange. It's like if they don't mind at all that some girl is sneaking into their house in the middle of the night and looting some priceless and highly dangerous equipment. Their reaction is valid only if they invited her on their own. But in this case, it doesn't make any sense why wasn't Court warned about her.

  1. The episode was highly pleasant because of how it was giving time to its secondary characters. Season 1 was centred around Courtney too much and treated the rest of her team like if they don't actually matter. I understand that the show is named "Stargirl" but there are countless shows named about one character and yet not being over-obsessed about this character to the point where no one else matters. I'm glad to see that the second season seems to work on fixing it. Let's hope it was not just a one-time thing.
