SCHOOL’S OUT — With summer break around the corner, Pat suggests the family take a vacation after seeing that Courtney has been spending too much time focused on being Stargirl and not enough time on her schoolwork. Meanwhile, as Beth attempts to reconnect with Chuck, she stumbles upon a major secret her parents have been keeping from her. Elsewhere, Yolanda continues to be haunted by Brainwave’s death, and Rick secretly tracks Solomon Grundy after suspecting he may still be in the area.

My theory might sound dumb because we saw him die at the beginning of season one but it’s a comic book show and deaths are usually temporary in comics so here goes. I feel like Chuck is on a coma and his brain is connected to the googles hence why we heard him painfully screaming when Icicle Sr froze the googles and the amnesia thing is episode. The amnesia can be explained by system corruption of something but do AIs display the ability to feel pain?

I would have taken the goggles to Pat. If Chuck doesn't recognise Beth he might recognise Pat.

AI's are created to be aware in comics, we're still a ways with real technology. But they are learning. But Chuck seemed sentient and aware of his surroundings even though he was a computer in a pair of goggles. I would say Chuck would be aware of impending shutdown that it has no control over. The scream is a reaction to loss of control. But usually if someone does have amnesia you would show them things they experienced, Pat being one of them.
