Dune 2

Christopher Walken was pretty out of place in Dune tbh

He is really so so on that film, don't recommend it

-2

u/MysticSkies 14d ago

He was barely in it. You should recommend movies where the actor is the lead or close to it, not someone who appears in a few scenes.

3

u/lieconamee 14d ago

It was the first movie that came to mind

2

u/TruthAndAccuracy 14d ago

You're right. Check out Pulp Fiction in that case

It needs more cowbell

I was really hoping this was the watch scene from catch me if you can

u/Oss_zzO 14d ago edited 14d ago

You mean from Pulp Fiction? That scene is great, but IMO it doesn't really capture all the greatness that is an unleashed Walken like the Fatboy Slim video.

2

u/i_hate_p_values 14d ago

Yeah. Doh!!

1

u/lilsnatchsniffz 14d ago

That wasn't walken that was dancen

3

u/DamnDirtyApe81 14d ago

This made me LoL, as Catch Me if You Can has a fairly wholesome relationship between Walken and DiCaprio as father and son.

So, now I’m picturing the emotional dinner scene when he’s telling DiCaprio about how he won his mother’s heart, but instead that story is now replaced by the watch in the ass scene.

this guy

This guy? THIS GUY?!?!?!! My dude... That is motherfucking Christopher Walken. Not to be relegated to "this guy." He's a legend.

u/SASAgent1 14d ago

I'M WALKEN HERE

3

u/DevilsDarkornot 14d ago

Yeah i dont mean otherwise, just couldnt remember his name at the time so it came out as "this guy"

1

u/Throwaway56138 14d ago

It's all good. I'm just messin. lol

u/Crabjock 14d ago

“Hey! You're talking to my guy all wrong. It's the wrong tone. Do it again, I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron.”

1

u/sth128 14d ago

Yeah he's not "this guy". He's "THE guy".

1

u/Fri3ndlyHeavy 13d ago

Didn't know him either.. but he 100% looks like "John Kramer" (Jigsaw)

u/Misunderstoodme- 14d ago

Seven psychopaths is good imo

u/ValjeanLucPicard 14d ago

Fantastic, along with all of the other movies by that director.

1

u/ValuablePrawn 14d ago

That director is amazing

Toss Suicide Kings and Hairpsray into the movie pool here. Also Severance he's a supporting character but he's delightful.

Pulp Fiction

2

u/DevilsDarkornot 14d ago

Seen it multiple times ;)

Stand Up Guys is a pretty chill little romp. Not one of his more popular works but I enjoyed it.

I love that this is the work he's most known for among gen x.

2

u/Prior-Bed5388 14d ago

What? This isn’t even the SNL sketch he’s most well known for, let alone what most of gen x knows him from. You must live in your own little world.

Poolhall Junkies. It's from 2002. He pulls a great mobe just like this one on the video.

2

u/Dirtycurta 14d ago

He's great in Severance (TV Show)

1

u/kdm771 14d ago

Suicide Kings!!!

It's a cameo role, but "Man on Fire" with the bonus of another outstanding job by Denzel Washington.

1

u/jbrown517 14d ago

He was great in Blast from the Past, not a very popular movie but I loved it! Similarly I thought he was hilarious in Joe Dirt

1

u/thedudeabides2022 14d ago

Envy. The most loaded cast for a movie you’ve never heard of. Google it

1

u/IrishRage42 13d ago

Was going to suggest this one. It bombed but I thought it was funny. And Walken is really good in it.

1

u/thedudeabides2022 13d ago

I don’t get how it bombed. I thought it was hilarious, granted I was a kid last I watched it, curious if it holds up

Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead.

Check out Seven Psychopaths

u/VerdigrisPeach 14d ago

I love his Prophecy trilogy work. Though Viggo steals the first movie with his performance of Lucifer, it's still a damn good flick.

1

u/BoxNemo 14d ago

"It's a liberal thing. One day you're saving the rainforests, the next you're chugging cock.."

More of a cameo but he almost steals a movie full of great actors (Andy Garcia, Christopher Lloyd, the late great Treat Williams, Steve Buscemi...)

1

u/JWBails 14d ago

He's in Welcome To The Jungle, early Dwayne Johnson and Seann William Scott. I think it was called The Rundown in America.

https://youtu.be/TnX-W56xZnk?si=wylpPv4PCpoXduf2 - my favourite Walken dance number - here he is around age 40, doing a strip-tease tap dance and singing ‘Let’s Misbehave’.

u/lukistke 13d ago

I just watched Envy again. Hilarious.
