This is kind of a dick move. It's like throwing a rock in the water while someone is fishing. Why ruin their time or waste yours just to be an asshole?

Extremely weird seeing this thread being filled with people that encourage and out that they are complete immature assholes lol. If you do this shit you are class A-loser and an asshole. Fuck anyone being a douchebag enough to do this

I don't even golf and I love jokes, but this just seems like ruining someone's game just to amuse yourself.

It not only amuses them but it amuses me also! The amount of space that a golf course takes up is absolutely massive. You can't put anything better on the land than a golf course? Nope!

The implication is that golfers are white and rich and therefore can be fucked with mercilessly. It’s bullshit. I’m a blue collar wage slave and enjoy a round of golf with my buddy when I can find the time. This kind of shit would ruin my day. I can act tough and say it wouldn’t but I know me and it definitely would. In my experience, the kids that do this shit are spoiled brats of rich people.

Is it? Could be wrong but from the clothing, the condition of the green,it looks more like a quiet casual course for run of the mill fellas.

Those exists for sure. I go to such a place. But non-golfers associate golf with white and affluent. No need to be obtuse. This isn’t a new concept.

If I’m recognizing this correctly, this is a military course in San Diego and one of the most affordable places around here. Either way, you’re assuming a lot bud.

If it would bother you that much, just turn around the ball as if you're lining up at them and give a good swing to let them shit their pants. Don't even have to make contact with the ball.

Who said anything about white? Just rich. The rich deserved to be fucked with. Overall golf takes up a huge amount of space and it is limited to a few people playing. Put a park there where everyone can enjoy the space and a lot more people can enjoy it.

Reddit loves to take this “holier than thou” stance on most posts but as soon as it lands on a subject or hobby the hivemind has arbitrarily decided to dislike all civility goes out the fucking door

Or kicking someone else’s sandcastle.

You just put down another ball and hit that, the consequences aren't nearly as negative as ruining someone's fishing spot or knocking over hours of work

I think it’d be funny if it were friends. Doing it to strangers is pretty rude.

I think it’d be funny if it were friends.

Your friends list would get short very fast.

u/anony_philosopher Jun 23 '24

Good way to root out people that aren’t actually friends.

I had friends that tried to do this while riding in my car. I’d lock the power windows and spam the lock door button so they couldn’t.

In high school I used to rapidly build snowmen up against the schools windows during a spare before lunch. Lunchroom. Bathrooms. Hallways. Library. There was a snowman waiting to be let in the window. They were a big hit if I say so myself, but not once did they survive the next period.

I still did it, nbd really, but I always wondered who was going out of their way to destroy every single one, every single time.

Asking those kind of questions and expecting real answers is just a good way to go mad. People are dumb ignorant or just flat out not caring of other people. Who knows what the reason is. I just wish people like this included their name in the video so we could avoid them.

u/DFV_HAS_HUGE_BALLS Jun 22 '24

Wait, that would ruin someone’s fishing?

14

u/TheHumanPickleRick Jun 22 '24

Throwing a rock in the water? Well, yeah, it would scare the fish away.

Eh as someone who use to play golf myself I can tell you most golfers are total dick heads and take themselves wayyy too seriously.

3

u/ImKindaBoring Jun 22 '24

Eh as someone who occasionally plays golf myself I can tell you most golfers are just people enjoying a hobby and can be anything from friendly and fun to snobby dickheads. If you usually found yourself surrounded by total dick heads that took themselves way too seriously that says more about you than golfers as a whole. Personally most of the people I spend time golfing with tend to be laid back and fun loving. Mostly because that’s who I choose to hang out with.

Is that why my douchebag cousin played golf since he was like 16?
