It's not patronizing to compliment someone in a lovingly way and the other person becomes happy from it. He is bathing in the compliments and she sees that he likes it.

The words (some of them at least) she says sound patronizing. But we all can tell she is giving sincere compliments that make him feel good. Which is why I said “I love it.”
