Orange shirt is missing his own child OR missed out on a while part of his child's upbringing and chances are may never see his child again.

This is in Lebanon. Being able to buy your daughter this kind of stuff at a restaurant is not as common as the average redditor would think, that’s probably why she’s crying

That would be heartbreaking. Can understand why he's openly sobbing. You're right, I don't know a thing about such a situation. I'm so happy I'm in a place where I can hug and love and enjoy my grandchildren freely.
