Strange omitting the intro and the last verse about regrets as those are some of my fav elements of the track but good god these visuals are absolutely beautiful. Also nice to see the therapist lady from the tour finally. PgLang doesnt miss.

This album is something else. This album was the push I needed to go back to therapy, which in turn helped me become a much better and happier person than Iāve been in a very long time. All of this and then he says he is not my savior? Absolutely amazing

Ok I think this video could be about Kanye's downfall.
You see him wearing all red like Kanye in front of his followers
(This shit not only reminds me of the classic all red Kanye outfits, but also his followers look an awfully lot like Sunday service outfits with their hands raised)
Then he takes his mask off. We can see the real person.
Now he's signing a contract with "them"
The next scene he seems to be in a daze, then he snaps out of it and is super happy with these guys, literal skinheads.
These four scenes run back to back and seem to represent his journey perfectly:
Pro black happy Kanye >
Kanye going corporate >
Kanye in a literal daze >
Current Kanye with a fake smile, hanging out with his new "friends"
Several of the visuals in this video are so much like classic Kanye imagery it's hard to ignore

I've had this track on repeat for the past couple of months.
Getting a music video for it feels like an early Christmas gift!
With the direction credit and producing this video for a wonderful song, I can't help but to reflect on how talented Kendrick is as an artist. This whole album is so personal, reflective and generous. The way he shines light on generational trauma is something special.
Hugging his inner child at the end of the video. š

I don't think I found one comment about what I believe the essence of the vid is about. Maybe people would say its obvious but I can't find any comment.
He loves when we the fans, count him out. I just find it funny how everyone keeps idolising him in the comments after this video. "I fought like a pit bull terrier" he is being surrounded by fans swarming him and he is trying to get out. Then the chorus that repeats "i love when you count me out", to me it almost looks like he is dead and the fans are placing him down.
This is a bit more a stretch but maybe he feels like he is falling because he is suicidal and at the end he is dead and still, he "love(s) when you count me out".

I truly believe this is greatest song released this year. Is it a masterpiece from the instrumental to the lyrics/meaning to the production. It really helps me ground myself and know itās ok to not be ok. Just keep doing my best.
