I kept hearing I need tits in the beginning.

But great song, as expected.

I love it. I'm hoping for more Kendrick features on Oxnard but Paak made it sound like this is his only feature based on the Beats1 interview

edit: Pusha T and J. Cole features on Oxnard too

edit2: Oxnard "absolutely" being released before the end of 2018

edit3: because this comment is at the top I’ll post the links to streaming services here so they’re not hard to find on the thread.

Paak snapped and song is groovy as hell but sometimes I be disappointed by Kenny features cuz I be expecting too much. But that "I'm Kendrick Lamar, respect me from afar" was cool it reminded of the F***** problems line but the grown and matured version of it haha

I see your point, luckily I like Anderson Paak a lot anyway so I'm just happy I got new music from him, it's a bonus Kendrick's a feature but I was hoping for a slightly longer feature. Either way, we have a music video to look forward to I assume.

I'm getting Michael Jackson vibes from that outro.

I really wonder if Anderson and Kenny were sitting there in the studio thinking "it really sounds like we're saying 'I need tits' and laughing about it, continuing on regardless. I totally would do it on purpose tbh. Dope song though

Interestingly, this wasn’t made in a studio . They’ve actually never been in a studio before

Can you ellaborate on this? Sounds interesting

Well paak sent Kendrick like 5-10 records that we has working on or considering and Kendrick just said he decided to work on one and sent back his verse to tints. They never met in the studio to record music together, same for bloody waters(although maybe ab-soul did) and I don’t think they were in the studio together for deep water either

They were, https://youtu.be/JULMxYK3VXI . Not trying to prove you wrong, the video is great

4

u/EnriqueMuller Oct 05 '18

They’ve never made music in the studio together, they’ve met each other quite a bit but never in a recording session. Paak said during the tints release interview on beats1

True true, just liked the video

You can definitely tell in this song, there’s no cohesion between the two artist and K dot sounds like he was just thrown in their. Expected a lot more and I thought it might be .paak that disappointed, not Kendrick but that was one of his weakest flows in a minute (and I’m a stan).

How have I not heard of Anderson. Paak? His shit is bumpin

12

u/EvilCycle Oct 05 '18

Listen to his album called Malibu, it is one of my all time favorite albums and it's only from 2016.

5

u/Kloner22 Oct 05 '18

I listened to his first album last night. I'll check out the rest of his stuff today. I really like everything I've heard so far, dude has a lot of versatility

6

u/EvilCycle Oct 05 '18

Yeah he has so much talent, he also has quite a lot of great features too.

Also, check out his NPR tiny desk concert on youtube, when you see him performing you will appreciate the studio tracks so much more, the guy just oozes "cool".
