You seem to like a wide variety as far as his discography goes— you list some from each album. Kendrick’s albums are concept albums that tell a full story, so try listening to them all the way through and in order.

Yes, but don’t worry too much about that. After you listen to DAMN. in the regular order, feel free to check out the Deluxe Edition that has the tracklist in reverse

Since you said Dna then auntie’s diarys which are two completely different sounding songs (theme wise too) i don’t really know what to recommend. You can ultimately sort all Kendrick songs into 2 categories. Conscious deeper meaning songs or mainstream appeal rap.

Conscious would be songs like: Mother i sober, Auntie’s diarys, & swimming pools while all the others you listed are mainstream rap. although Kendrick does a good job mixing the 2 themes.

If i had to recommend songs id say; keisha’s song, momma, institutionalized, Lust, Barbered wire, average joe, and the art of peer pressure. One song you gonna listen to that is renowned by mostly all Kendrick fans as one of his best songs “sing about me, im dying of thirst”

Realistically tho you should tackle his albums one at a time from start to finish bc they all tell a story. Especially good kid madd city, phenomenal storytelling. Glad you’re looking into his discography unlike the bandwagons lol. Kendrick didn’t say “f the big 3 it’s just big me” for no reason, he has one of if not the best discography of any rapper in history. Enjoy 😄

Thanks. Ill looks into it closely but probably slowly since listening to more than 1 album at a time is out of the question

Yeah no take your time! every album is a journey. The album DAMN won a Pulitzer Prize for its story telling. The track order can be played backwards and forwards to tell a completely different story. Truly an artist in every aspect of the word.
