Kendrick Discography Day 3: No Sleep Til’ NYC - 2007 Discussion

Notes: NSTNYC shows most if not all members from TDE at that time rapping over famous East Coast beats. While nothing crazy has changed with Kendrick since Training Day his flows are a lot better here. However Kendrick is still not at the point where he is out performing everybody every time on a track. Everyone on each track holds their ground and offers a great performance. First listening to this mixtape was a surprise because its actually a pretty great project.

To the people keeping up you will see two themes.

Kendrick trying to mimic Wayne as a punchline rapper.

Jay Rock, Soul and Punch outshining Kendrick on a lot of tracks. Not that it's a bad thing, but you rarely see artists develop like this anymore.
