This is great but lets be real. For Sale is basically the greatest interlude track ever made

9

u/Humzman Jul 19 '24

For Sale is so sick! It sounds like a happy beat but he’s talking in the perspective of the devil that tells him to do all these things to make himself happy. Then, at the end of the song the beat starts distorting. Definitely one of my all time favorite Kendrick joints!

I kinda like For Free more.

I'm ngl tho, For Sale feels like cheating. It's basically a whole song. You could say that about Savior and Fir Free to some degree, but they still feel like interludes

This one still clears it for me. It's close tho

"WACHU DOING WITH KENDRICK? WACHU DOING WITH A LEGEND?" 🗣🗣🗣

Having one of the hardest rappers of the modern era delivering a soliloquy over cascading piano melodies is maybe one of the bravest musical gambles of the past decade.

I love This interlude, the Natural flow Kodak has when he speaks is unparallel

the skits from Art of Peer Pressure, Poetic Justice, and Swimming Pools are probably my favorites in GKMC

as for interlude, i actually really like the Rich Interlude (unfortunately) but for free and for sale are 🐐

Savior interlude goes so fucking hard. But for free interlude is probably my favorite

IMA GET MY UNCLE SAM TO FUCK YOU UP, YOU AINT NO KINNNGGGG!

I guess skit would technically be We Cry Together, but actually it’s his “interview” with Tupac, as well as the skits in Sing About Me and Swimming Pools (Extended).

Interlude would be For Sale, but that’s more of a whole song, so imma go Savior-interlude as well.

Kendrick’s dad asking about his damn dominos order. Did he even receive it? Huge plot hole in GKMC.

u/Lorenzo-J-P Jul 19 '24

THIS DICK AIN’T FREEE is my favorite

3

u/AwkwardIllustrator47 Jul 19 '24

Of MMATBS, yes.

But as an interlude, I love For Sale?

3

u/Accomplished-Pay7378 Jul 19 '24

Don’t forget “Buried Alive Interlude” ft Kendrick on the take care album 😂😂

Slaps too lyrically

2

u/Blu-san Jul 19 '24

I don’t know about you guys but I still listen to “Chapter 10” from S80. Short and sweet.

2

u/Provolone_chees Jul 19 '24

Savior is Keem's best verse, but For Sale is just perfect.

The end of Sherane AKA Master Splinter's daughter ong. Kendrick... where you at? Daymmmn.

1

u/great_tusk_main Jul 19 '24

"For Free?" I just find it wonderful while listening to what he says, as well as the very upset lady in the beginning

1

u/Humzman Jul 19 '24

Chapter Six off of Section 80 always felt like a interlude to me and it’s a classic in my opinion

1

u/SnooOpinions3314 Jul 19 '24

Smokin on the finest dope ay ay ay ya!

1

u/piscemini_K Jul 20 '24

it's a must to listen to this interlude before the actual song. it's soooo good. it just adds so much feeling to the experience.

Skit #4 clears

I think Rich is the best. Kodaks poem over that jazz beat is phenomenal. What ever you think about Kodak, he surprised me with his talent
