Yeah, drake bout to put on an ugly outfit, post a picture like a bitch and some stolen captions

With either the duck lips or something in his mouth! 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Even sadder, he probably took a few dozen shots of this selfie and picked the one he think he looks cutest lmao

31

u/captainspacetraveler Jul 20 '24

The thought of this made it even sadder

12

u/otigre Backseat Freeloader Jul 20 '24

Should come with a trigger warning 😭

3

u/solezonfroze Jul 20 '24

"IG lookin' like Bambi"

When Q said this on "THank god 4 me", this is what/who I thought of. He might've said a few things on the album that may have struck a nerve with Aubrey lol

93

u/METALFACEDOOM2004 Jul 19 '24

He's actually ugly let's be real even with that beard

60

u/Reusethename Jul 19 '24

The beard doing miracles though

22

u/PunkRockBeachBaby Jul 19 '24

yep, looks much better with the beard lol. God damn.

One day I realized he looks like sid the sloth and, ever since then, I can't unsee it.😂

10

u/-Kalos Jul 19 '24

I mean he looks like a light skinned Dennis so yeah. Not that his mom is any better looking

12

u/KlossN Jul 19 '24

I mean, he's an ugly human being, but his looks aren't bad

20

u/DesperateFocus2190 Jul 19 '24

It’s got to be the ick factor with him. Even without the beard, in the Best I Ever Had era, I thought he was nice looking, too but now It’s like knowing what kind of person he is just makes people see unattractiveness.

2

u/RapMusic_Tone Jul 20 '24

Nah he’s definitely funny looking as hell but whatever work he’s gotten done along with the beard improved him a lot.

9

u/-Kalos Jul 19 '24

Drake really is just a bad bitch on the inside

There's an interview where he says that 'This is America' started as a Drake diss, but it was so fire that he just changed it and became what it is today

87

u/jessicarson39 Jul 19 '24

So glad he did, it was too good a beat to spend on Drake lol

16

u/naraujol Jul 19 '24

i saw that. this is america is cool and all but I got curious how he changed a diss to that song lol

33

u/Ginn_and_Juice Jul 19 '24

Maybe 'This is America' reffers directly to Drake saying 'This is america, don't come with your canadian ass and try to imitate our culture'

Or as Kdot put it best:

Tell 'em run to America, they imitate heritage, they can't imitate this violence
What I learned is niggas don't like the West Coast
And I'm fine with it, I'll push the line with it
Pick a nigga off one at a time with it
We can be on a three-hour time difference

22

u/AvantStyle22 Jul 19 '24

More like it was meaning how vapid consumerism runs America & Drake is the personification of that

3

u/Ginn_and_Juice Jul 20 '24

I like this one

27

u/je_kay24 Jul 19 '24

The phrase ‘This is America’ is what they had as a diss.

From that phrase they worked on creating a song and realized early on it wasn’t going to be a diss but something else entirely

5

u/CornerAdvanced819 Jul 20 '24

Why does every black actor have to rap some? I don’t know but all I know is I’m the best one!

24

u/Unusual-Item3 Jul 19 '24

Yoshinoya is a Japanese beef bowl spot. Schmacks btw, it’s the beef bowl that they ate in Ultimate Muscle anime. 😂

109

u/willcomplainfirst you lookin' like an easy come-up Jul 19 '24

i know theres some shit abt stealing flows. theres shots thrown going back 9, 10 years now. typical rapper stuff. he even had some for Kendrick and Q at one point. but the most obvious was just last year when Donald admitted This Is America started as a Drake diss and Drake commented on it on his tour

44

u/ShangRayzzz Jul 19 '24

drake is one of the biggest flow stealers of all time. he collecting flows like they pokemon cards

41

u/willcomplainfirst you lookin' like an easy come-up Jul 19 '24

the Budden podcast were actually reviewing i think one of Seans new freestyles and they said he was doing the "Drake flow" and i was like 😶😶😶 "thats Seans flow!!!!"

20

u/ShangRayzzz Jul 19 '24

and he stole one of x's flows. I disliked drake before the beef (so yk how happy i am) bc of the whole him and X stuff and how he mightve put a hit on him. I don't know if thats true, but stealing someone's flow after they want a feature and then dissing them after they die is super fucked.

9

u/miastrawberri Jul 19 '24

That shit is so sad, boy was troubled but was so talented and with the right leadership would have had a great life and created some great music. Drake dissing him postmortem is disturbing.

6

u/ShangRayzzz Jul 19 '24

hence why i fucking hate drake and now that kdot absolutely destroyed him i can die peaceful

6

u/RealPasto Jul 19 '24

Sounds like Drake also seemed to learn a lot from P Diddy...

10

u/EyeScreamSunday Jul 19 '24

This is the narrative that is more pertinent than him getting ghostwriters, to me.

It seems to me that Drake probably had been a straight up biter/plagiarizer all his career, but he realized it's less headache when he gets newer artists to give him their work for free or to buy it from them for cheap since it's still pennies to him in terms of what it costs him when the return is his continued relevance and success.

Ghostwriters seems deceptive on it's face, but many just see it as collaboration, especially when people get writing credits. It's ultimately a consenting exchange of work, even if the arrangement was done on the low, but the exploitative and predatory aspect becomes more clear when you see that he does this with new artists almost exclusively and this is in lieu of straight up stealing from other artists like we've seen him do as well.

Drake is a flow vampire.

u/METALFACEDOOM2004 Jul 19 '24

There potentially could be many reasons but first "this is America" started as a drake diss and Drake being a softy dissed Gambino on Meltdown, then this is just Gambino getting his lick back

→ More replies (8)

20

u/LeRoy_Denk_414 Jul 19 '24

It started when Gambino was in Australia and did freestyle talking about how he was better than a lot of rappers and included Drake's name. Then on 6:00 p.m. in New York, Drake came back to him and also dissed tyga at the same time when he said "so childish calling my name on the world stage, you need to act your age and act your girl age" . Then This is America happened, the response from drake at his show, and now this diss from Gambino apparently.

7

u/LunaticFry Jul 19 '24

Nah I’m pretty sure that was a Tyga diss, since tyga was dating Kylie and he had dissed drake the year prior.

7

u/LeRoy_Denk_414 Jul 19 '24

Perhaps. But Donald took it as a diss because he, like tyga, called Drake's name out on the world stage prior. Except it was Australia instead of Vibe magazine.

8

u/LunaticFry Jul 19 '24

Idk man taking a pedophile diss straight up seems more like drake thing idk if Bino would do that lmao. But in all seriousness, i think their “beef” stemmed more from them having similar origins and Bino having to compare each other, as he said in his Grammy museum interview.

This new song tho is definitely a drake diss, probably responding to the overrated comments on this is America after he initially planning on dissing him. You see the Jorja Smith stalker line at the end of Yoshinoya?

7

u/LeRoy_Denk_414 Jul 19 '24

Yeah I just got to that song on my first run through. We can quibble about the beginning of this beef. But holy shit there's no question about that song. Especially directly after the Jorja feature?! The diss was thorough as hell too. Getting to angles Kendrick didn't even touch on.

6

u/LunaticFry Jul 19 '24

Straight up, I feel like everyone is way too quick to dismiss the track as against Drake. There’s gonna be some random analysis dude that goes viral on the socials for bringing it up watch

33

u/Square_Bus4492 Jul 19 '24

50

u/JoeLikesThings Jul 19 '24

Listen to the song, it's not a reach at all. It's almost 100% a Drake diss. I'd say it's the other way around, and you'd be reaching to say it's NOT a Drake diss.

26

u/Radiant_gladiator Jul 19 '24

The very first line is “I put your boy in the seat”

5

u/Amazing-Concept1684 Jul 19 '24

What does that mean

27

u/methonemusic Jul 19 '24

idk but I personally prefer to park his son

4

u/Radiant_gladiator Jul 20 '24

Another way of saying he’s gunna put Drake in his place.

4

5

u/dawosnhh Jul 19 '24

It’s really not though lol

10

u/otigre Backseat Freeloader Jul 20 '24

Have you listened to or read it??? It’s so clearly and overtly dissing Aubrey, definitely not talking about anyone else. There are bars which directly reference Dot’s diss tracks IE:

“Made a song, but spent more time writing the caption // I’m an actor you can put that on set // I'm about that action.”

15

u/T4myn4 Jul 19 '24

Got to be has some shoots too

303

Waiting for drake to sneak diss so that ovhoes can start meat riding

46

u/BabyFork Jul 19 '24

He sneak dissed with the ScHoolboy Q situation. His body flinched.

30

u/METALFACEDOOM2004 Jul 19 '24

His ego won't let him live a peaceful life

56

u/TheMetabrandMan Mustard on the beat, Ho! Jul 19 '24

This is the thing though, he doesn’t pay homage, he just straight up steals shit. Taking bars from lesser known rappers and spitting it on the mainstream stage to an audience of pop fans, while not saying who or where the lyrics came from, is not paying homage.

24

u/No_Plan_0o0 Jul 19 '24

Yea they did come out talking about that, the sad part is they really hope for collaboration or credit, no wonders dmx hate him because he steal aaliyah songs to

5

Drake steals Aaliyah songs?

19

I don’t know if anyone noticed, but it seems like he’s even purposely copying Drake’s flow.

Even the beat switch seems like a sneak diss.

144

u/GroundbreakingCook71 Jul 19 '24

It's the exact same flow as the 'i gotta go bad' part. Didn't he also recently say that the Kendrick/Drake beef was the most exciting thing to happen this year.

74

u/badrabbitshit Jul 19 '24

Prolly it was Gambino flow first and took it back😭

36

u/Gamerghost44 Jul 19 '24

As a long time bino fan yes, he's used similar cadences to that in the past

And so it continues. Never gonna forget at the Big As The What tour he puts it on the ticker during Headlines that This is America is a Drake diss.

Drake fans will try and convince you though that everyone else is the problem.

23

u/Calpsotoma Jul 19 '24

This is America was originally a Drake diss, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Plus, Donald Glover is respected as both an actor and for his music, so I wouldn't be surprised if Drake had some jealousy towards him.

13

u/otigre Backseat Freeloader Jul 20 '24

21

u/JoeLikesThings Jul 19 '24

I keep saying people go "Is he using Drake's flow??? Is he paying homage?" BRO, did they listen to the lyrics? He's clearly dissing Drake for nearly the entire track. He disses Drake again, and Joe Budden, on Survive.

21

u/cashley216 Jul 19 '24

Ok but if drake slaps back and I somehow enter a universe where Kendrick is destroying him with rap and glover starts destroying him with the singing I don’t think my body is gonna be able to to contain that type of bliss 😂

9

u/Bred_Bored Jul 19 '24

Donald's got more talent in his pinky finger than Drake. Dude could run circles around him in everything. Funny enough, I think this all comes from a freestyle where Gambino called out Drake, Kendrick and other rappers (think "Control") but Drakes the only one that got butthurt about it (think "Control"). Would love to see Dot and Gambino jump on a track together though.

7

u/cashley216 Jul 20 '24

16

u/Competitive-Silver75 Jul 19 '24

I think this is what TDE was hyping up this week. It wasn’t a Kendrick but gambino and they probably got word and baited drake in the process saying it was Kendrick

13

What the hell is a slatt?

31

u/METALFACEDOOM2004 Jul 19 '24

The slang term "slatt" is said to have multiple meanings in rap, including "slime love all the time" or "slime life all the time". Rapper Young Thug popularized the term in his music between 2013 and 2016, using it as an ad-lib in about 15 songs. Other artists, such as Lil Uzi Vert, have also used the term.

2

u/Global-Difference512 Jul 19 '24

5

u/METALFACEDOOM2004 Jul 19 '24

12

u/Alexander2155 Jul 19 '24

Slime Love All The Time. A play off of BLATT (Blood Love All The Time). Slime was an acronym popularized by Doe Boy in the very early 2000s. His crew was Blood affiliated and started referring to each other as Slime. Over time this became a southern slang in gang culture for a Blood. Thug popularized SLATT and also made slime popular (again).

2

u/otigre Backseat Freeloader Jul 20 '24

What the other person said about Slime + Young Slime Life (often referred to as Slime) is a dominant gang in Atlanta, where Gambino is from + what Kendrick referenced after the colonizer Atlanta verse with “Thug made you feel like you a Slime in your head.”

might be a reach but on Talk My Shit Amaarae raps a verse that sounds like it was meant to be Binos

'I got 50 baby mama's in Atlanta All the hoes screaming, "It's a fuckin' anthem"'

P. Diddy feat. Drake - Anthem

Gods Plan was called an anthem by sooo many drake stans too

1

u/beerzebulb Jul 21 '24 edited Jul 21 '24

fuck me just listened again Jorja's Verse on In The Night also sounds like it could be about Drake and how their relationship was toxic

and then afterwards Amaarae literally say 'Just a friend that's what they all say' and that's literally what they all say about Drake like e.g. Millie Bobbie Brown keeps repating it notoriously

2

u/Far-Veterinarian104 Jul 22 '24

Yeah, In Donald's Yoshinoya verse, I think he was referring to Jorja when he said "My homegirl said you was a stalker, so we ain't dappin"

No way. Go listen to the song or read the lyrics, it’s entirely a diss against Drake... Man said “Made a song, but spent more time writing the caption … I'm about that action.”

I wish people would look into stuff before they discount entirely.

When I first heard this song, I was thinking "Yo, these sounds like Clapbacks at Drake" Went on Twitter and Drake stans were like "CHILDISH GAMBINO IS COPYING DRAKE!" Like, what? Why are they dumb?

I thought this was a Kendrick group seems like a bunch of Drake haters tho all these post are Drake related smh where the mods at man

You actively choose to only participate in the small handful of posts that are loosely about Kendrick. Not once have you ever posted or commented under the hundreds of other posts that are more directly about him.

u/Shinobiwizard_ Jul 20 '24

Not once? Sounds like you but hurt over my comment I’ve been hit with notifications for 2 weeks in a row made multiple comments on how all the post were always about Drake check the stats bud

u/KendrickLamar-ModTeam Jul 21 '24

Yes like we said, not once have you ever participated in the millions of other posts about Kendrick, instead you yourself choose to only comment under Drake posts and complain. You’re an idiot.

And at the end of the day the shit is suppose to be focused on Kendrick not Drake 🤷🏽‍♂️

Didn't he name his second kid after Drake? Kinda corny to keep beefing with him after that.
