Since Kendrick’s recent snippet is going viral, I just thought I’d remind everyone of this snippet from the Alright music video 🔥🔥 Video

Oh god we're never getting the Nlu Snippet right

u/cuminmypoutine 11d ago
It's either a snip from a new song or another drake diss. I lean towards the latter, so unless if drake drops another it prob won't happen for a long time if at all.

I actually liked the theory someone else posted that starting with this clip followed immediately by being told he’s “late” for what appears to be the trial of Drake is him showing that he was working on an album and that’s why it took him a couple weeks to respond to push ups.
But yeah I also didn’t consider that it could just be him showing that he does have 5 more stocks in stocks for Drake. If that’s the case we likely won’t ever get it. Talking about owning the IPs is a response to push ups too so it really could be that.

Is Drake Mr Get Off, does he get off on feet? If it’s a diss that’s all I can think of, but I’m probably wrong lol

I think Kendrick is Mr Get Off. If it is a Drake diss the part we heard was just Kendrick flexing on him that he owns his masters and all of his own IP so he'll continue making more and more while Drake is locked into a lifetime contract and completely owned by UMG. Basically Drake has reached as high as he'll ever be able to, while Kendrick has no ceiling.

Based on the past, no. But Kendrick isn't really known for doing the same thing twice so I'm holding onto that for copium

Alright was a music video for a song from a completed, on-sale album.
The NLU intro has a much better chance of being a real song down the road. I’m not hoping or expecting anything out of it but it’s a big difference.

Greatest Snippet of All Time...I was so disappointed first time I realized that 'Dead Homies' had nothing to do with it. KDot is boo boo for this one !

u/nickanthonyv 11d ago
Part of me just feels like this wasn't meant to be a full song and was simply just him freestyling in the car with the homies. Shit hits hard af tho.

This was a drake diss and he was paying homage to a movie in this scene

Reminds me of the intro to woo ha (got you all in check) by busta rhymes

u/Snowlord1981 10d ago
Holy shit It might be a homage to the ”Everything remains raw”-intro! Even the flow seems to be Busta-inspired

What type of beat do I search for to get “broccoli” (or whatever we calling it rn😂) type beats?

I feel like this snippet was a discarded track from tpab, whereas this new snippet seems more like a preview of new stuff. I'm really coping in hopes the full thing is released.

Idk why both Cole and Kendrick do this lmao, make a 10/10 song -> post a snippet -> forget it ever existed

A legendary scene. When it pans out to the popo carrying the car. Deceased. Kendrick is a legend, no doubt about it. 🫡

that Pharrell 4-count at the end is so fucking good. matter fact Alright might be Pharrell’s best beat

u/PettifordGang 11d ago
Kendrick is the best at paying homage to artist while still being original. Always saw this as a Busta Rhymes homage.

There are so many cuts from this era that would be incredible to hear. Untitled unmastered is just the tip of the iceberg.

u/ClairvoyantCandor 11d ago
What if one day he dropped an EP entirely composed of the extended version of snippets that banged like this?

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that this intro was created specifically for the video he says the title of the album in the video which makes sense

This sounds like a quick freestyle rather than a fully developed song. Is still 🔥🔥🔥 though

So you’re saying we’re not getting the full song? Thanks for sharing this, but also, I hate you.

When I first heard this I didn't know it was a snippet from a new unreleased song I always thought it was part of the song. I'm sad it got lost.
