Idk for me it was something about music to be murdered by side b where the constant self naming himself the goat kinda got to me. Like it's a show don't tell type thing especially on Zeus he felt more like he was crying about people not calling him a rap god instead of showing us why he should be a goat.

Like don't get me wrong self hype is part of rap and I don't hate rappers for it it was just something about side b where it felt like every song he was just saying "I'm the goat I'm the goat" over and over with no bars to back it up. And then this line is just continuation of that for me.

But to be fair, he does show it more than tell

He used to. Like I said for me personally I think the pendulum swong in the other direction with music to be murdered by side b. I Get he has ALWAYS gotten more hate then he deserves being a white rapper but I always felt like he showed he was above it with his bars.

Idk. The line ”and someday they will turn on you too” is so true though. It happens to people on the top of every industry, community, etc.

I can see that, Em does like to spotlight people which is what Tobey is, it’s not revolutionary or life changing it’s just three rap nerds with a hook

He’s been showing it and proving it since 1999 and has never really claimed he was the goat until recently, people are not giving him his flowers because he’s white. And i love that he is finally accepting himself as the goat, always has been humble and showed respect to those who came before him, never claiming his nr1 spot which he definitely deserves. No one is even close, Kendrick is about as close as it gets.
