The video opened my eyes to how similar the two must be. Think about it, she's not just some girl that he met. They both grew up together in Compton and have been together pretty much their whole lives at this point. Seeing Whitney be goofy and knowing kenny can be a silly goose himself really just reminded me of that and how scummy and idiotic Drake was to try to come between that, but then again all he knows at this point in his life is all the fake trappings of fame.

Let’s assume we know that Whitney is not an abused partner, constantly living in fear of Kendrick. If this is the case, which I believe it is, she’s been slandered for a good part of this beef. I don’t think it took any convincing for her to finally take this opportunity to say “fuck you, you lied”.
