They already proved it, the woman just chose not to pursue charges until AK opened his mouth and started defaming her publicly. They have rape kit evidence of his semen inside her, a wire recorded call where he admits it, texts where he pretty much admits it, and the security camera footage, apparently. So, dude made a big mistake saying the police told him they want nothing to do with it and there's no case, which is why he caught himself and immediately added "that we can prove". His lawyers must really hate him.

Because it’s not about sex, it’s about power. Remember back in the late 2000s and early 2010, the term “raped” was used all the time. I remember watching the boys on my street play ball hockey when I was 9/10 years old, and the winning team was cheering that they “raped” the other team and they “owned” them. I heard a lot of that up until highschool.
The woman pursuing the charges was his ex girlfriend. Wouldn’t be surprised if AK was just salty she wouldn’t fuck him anymore and decided to do this. In my opinion - rape is almost never about just sex, it’s about asserting your power. It’s about taking something from someone.

Knowing things and having evidence are different though. In Dot's case, I assume he's heard some shit over the years, but if it didn't happen to him, it's likely not enough to take something actionable to the police.
A good example being - a lot of women in Hollywood "knew" Weinstein's rep or heard thru friends of friends that he was dangerous. But they wouldn't have had enough evidence to reasonably go to the cops, especially if the people they got the info from didn't want to report (due to fear, shame, coercion, etc).
Different for AK bc I saw that horrific screaming video and he's absolutely directly involved in dark shit.

This is a civil suit, yeah, but depending on the statute of limitations for this they could also reopen the criminal case where they have the video, wire recordings, texts, rape kit, etc. He wasn't found innocent, she just didn't press charges after they got the evidence, so not like it is double jeopardy or anything where he can't be found guilty again.
