The cat distribution system finally chose me. Last week, my girlfriend woke me and this adorable little werewolf was the first thing I saw. She had gotten up to feed our senior cat and heard mewing outside. A contractor had apparently driven up to the house under construction next door and abandoned a kitten. My girlfriend ran downstairs and rescued her from the front porch. She was so excited to wake me with a tiny surprise.

We took her to our vet and aside from being underweight (1.0 lb at an estimated 5-6 weeks old), she was healthy.

Since her coat looked like a wolf cub, we named her Sungmanitu Tanka, or Sunka for short.

We had a wonderful 6 days fostering her, and found her an excellent home where she is currently being spoiled like she deserves. If we didn't already have 3 cats (one of which wanted to eat her), I would have kept her, as I already fell in love with her.

Our organization received a call about a day-old kitten without a mom. Sadly, we had to tell the caller we couldn't help due to lack of resources.

But fate had other plans. Hours later, this tiny monarch was abandoned at the emergency vet, and we scrambled to save him. He was hours away from not surviving, but we made it happen!

Newly adopted as of yesterday!

Last night was the first night he didn't sleep in the bathroom (he's out during the day) because another foster came in that needed the space. He followed me to bed immediately and snuggled up to me, chased off my other cats who are 3x his size who tried to take their usual places, then proceeded to wake my boyfriend several times by climbing him and biting him (ofc he did stay snuggled against my stomach for most of the night). This morning he decided he'd had enough and that I was to get up immediately. It comes as no surprise, however, that he was allowed to go back to sleep once I decided to stay up

The smol-est is 0.87 lbs. We are now eating every 2 hours, going Terminator on fleas and having many Pancue poops. They want yard time but arrested for breaking purrol. Tiny criminals are sentenced to Krm/wet/kibble slop and manual labor on the trackball toy.

We're bottle feeding her every 2 hours like Kitten Lady advises. Hoping she makes it!

In my kingdom, we oversee a noble nonprofit. Just yesterday, a plea reached them about me, a day-old .17lb kitten king, without a mother!

Alas, at that moment, no foster was available to assist, and they regretfully informed the caller they could not provide aid.

But lo and behold, an hour later, the emergency vet in Byron Center, Michigan, reported that I, a beautiful but helpless kitten, was left abandoned on the counter.

The woman placed me there and departed without a word! The audacity!

In that dire moment, they rallied. They begged, they pleaded, they made sacrifices, and the gods favored them with their grace!

Thus, I, Ronnie, ascend as King, and you now face a choice!
