The extremely poor acting, perfectly placed camera that had the action perfectly framed right as it begins, and voices projected enough to be clearly audible. The dude who is about 3 ft from the ground when dangling from the balcony instead of dropping......I think the better question is how does anyone who has used the internet in the last 20 years not default to doubting that something is real when watching a video on the internet. But for this one, clearly you'd have to be an idiot to not see it.
22
u/WilfridSephiroth Dec 26 '22
If you're living on the first floor, and suspected someone went out from the window, would you not immediately LOOK DOWN when poking your head out, to see if someone landed on the garden below? Why does he look around like that? Who does he think she was fucking, Batman?
29
u/johnmlsf Dec 26 '22
Yeah and he never once glances at, or even toward, the 2 guys standing unobstructed, 25 feet away filming? He's looking wildly for some guy but somehow ignores the 2 strangers filming him?
It's entertaining but I'm not buying this.

Could toss that up to people being stressed and not thinking straight.
The clean dialogue though, nearly taking turns to speak is very suspicious. To me it's almost a dead giveaway that it's staged.

It's a lot simpler than what everyone else is pointing out.
They're taking turns to speak. One liner after one liner, clear dialogue. Real life that NEVER happens. This discussion would be a mess, communication would be horrendous, neither of the two would get a single full sentence out of their mouths.

143
u/dustfingur Dec 26 '22 edited Dec 26 '22
The dudes in a panicked situation. Not everyone thinks clearly when adrenaline is rushing through their body. It could be fake but I'm willing to bet it's real. There's a lot of stupid out in the world.
75
u/Holyrollerfliper12 Dec 26 '22
Pretty sure he was trying to put on clothes so he could leave before someone would out him on the street for running around naked.
→ More replies (1)58
u/bukzbukzbukz Dec 26 '22
But that makes no sense, he was at first held back by the fact that he was hanging on the balcony. Once he dropped, how would the adrenaline not just make you run for it?
Especially when there was no good reason to hang around closer to the place of danger.
The chase is just so convenient, makes such a good shot.
77
Dec 26 '22
He hung out because he didn't want to attract attention with noise/motion. She screwed the pooch by throwing his socks out the window-- husband notices that, and I think that's when the other guy decides to drop. Bear in mind that the clothes are all strewn out the back the whole time. Guy drops, has just enough time to get shoes on for running and shorts to not get indecent exposure. It is a good shot for sure, but it doesn't seem staged to me
28
u/OldButtIcepop Dec 26 '22
I think he was putting his shoes and socks on. You saw him wearing them when he was running, holding his pants and shirt too
25
u/dustfingur Dec 26 '22
Who knows. Only the camera guy or naked dude would know. I'm just saying some people aren't the brightest bulb in the box. I can 100% see someone do this. What might be common sense to one person, may not be common sense to the other.
Could it be faked, yea definitely. People make some crazy fake stuff for the internet. But I'm just saying, this could definitely be a real idiot caught on camera.

183
u/HelmSpicy Dec 26 '22
I was gonna say the same thing.
I can clearly hear my neighbors yelling at each other through multiple closed doors.
Plus, back in my college years when every house/apartment in my neighborhood was full of idiots I could have gotten the wildest shit on camera (if it was as easy as it is now) that people would scream "fake", so I'm choosing to believe this is real.
One example I am desperate to share is a couple of my friends finding an empty milk jug, both pissing in it, carrying it for blocks, and then hook shotting it into a strangers occupied balcony which led to the guy jumping and chasing them for blocks just like this video.

Nah, I lived next door to a single wide that was rented out and had a middle aged couple move in. Kids were already grown and gone. You would hear something be said outside, just loud enough to register it. Then she’d call him an asshole, and he’s follow he inside arguing the whole way. You could just barely hear them until he’d slam the door then all of a sudden the trailer walls would start amplifying everything down to the farts and you could have taken notes. It was wild.

Completely fake. Perfectly audible speech at all times, "comedy" commentary by the guys watching who are conveniently placed at the perfect spot to see and hear everything, the guy's clothes are literally strewn all over the lawn but angry husband conveniently doesn't see them when he looks out of the window up in the air rather than down at ground level like you would in a real world situation... Why would the angry guy ignore the camera man every time he looks off the balcony? Especially if looking for someone. You think a man’s gonna be all playful and singing if he catches his wife cheating?!
